☘️The simple answer to the rise in military tension around the world is because Western powers are too soft and too slow in addressing issues when they arise. Europe uses the US as it’s deterrent and therefore feels it does not have to invest in military defence. War in Ukraine and the death of innocent people could have been avoided if only western powers were more proactive in their military support for Ukraine. West is all about capitalism and money first, everything else takes second place. When you see the UN General Secretary shake the hand of a murderer and a wanted man ( Putin) then you know the real world order is all about money and power☘️

A few years ago China openly claimed part of Russia as its own. They used the historical ownership argument. Forget about Taiwan. China may just march into Manchuria if they see Russian weakness. Putins many wars have weakened it. For example, the Wagner military group led by Prigozhin, marched on Moscow in June of last year. He got to within 60 miles of Moscow before he backed down. There was nothing that would have stopped Wagner from marching into Moscow. Its a mystery why he stopped. He should have know he had committed the unpardonable sin. Yes, Putin killed him but it shows how fragile Putin is. Every day Putin is more vulnerable. Will Russia stop its war if Putin is removed?

Russia unilaterally marched in and took nearly a million square kilometers in the 1850s despite having a longstanding treaty with China clearly delineating the border since the 17th century. If the powers of a country gets defeated, surrenders, the country doesn't function anymore and other parties take over. A normal process people support because the former leaders failed them. But in that political vacuum there is a risk of becoming more radical in this or that direction. That's the fear of the US and western countries. Russia when politically collapsing could become even more radical (in the sense of doctrine) or even unpredictable instable. What's even more of a horror scenario, because of its huge arsenal of nuclear weaponry. To balance this out from outside is pretty difficult, that's why the US and others are pretty carefully. People tend to believe there are simple solutions, giving Ukraine ALL what it needs to be victorious. The US could, not so others (because their own military capabilities are weakened over time, as well as production), but the hesitancy is due to the circumstances that a implosion of the Putin regime could cause much worse scenarios, even for Ukraine. Reasonable? I think so. And we shouldn't forget that any government is sworn in to protect its people first and foremost! That doesn't mean we shouldn't support Ukraine much better than by now, or over time. No, we should do better! But as it turns out the government, as well as the high command structure, in Ukraine fails itself, over and over again. There's even some sort of a mistrust between the west and the leadership of Ukraine. "Things happen" in Ukraine and many people who once supported the government in Kiiv are pretty upset. There are a lot of bad things happen where political friends of the leader/leaders are involved and bad commanding causes heavy losses of men, equipment and territory. Zekwnskij becomes more and more of a populist. Knowing or not knowing what's going on in his country he's responsible for that and doesn't do what's necessary. Pretty bad and the allies, behind closed doors, know everything and ask themselves one question. Is the leadership in Ukraine still able to act accordingly to the situation they're in when facing a relentless Russian army that does not care about huge losses. Many players make the music and the orchestra plays a "awful" sound, still. "Winning" depends on the strength you build to get the upper hand over your enemy. If you have allies that means everyone involved must have one goal by using thought through strategies and tactics using everything available while securing own recourses and minimizing losses. That's not what's happening!

The American empire is currently in the early stages of collapse, because of all their disastrous foreign policy interventions. This war in Ukraine, has been a calamitous failure for the west and nato. Russia is nowhere near being defeated in the battlefield. Ms. Francis gives one of the primary reasons as to why America has been quite hesitant and sluggish in its support of Ukraine to enable them to throughly smash russia, knowing that it likely entails the uncontrolled implosion and final full disintegration of russia, which in turn would certainly tempt xi-china to take advantage of the resulting vacuum and make a swift move into Manchuria. Before they started expanding their membership, BRICS countries had already explicitly described themselves as a bulwark against Western culture. But this glosses over the fact that an accumulation of wealthy people in these countries have a financial incentive to be territorially expansionist. They need to be expansionist because staying in power means keeping their people "under the thumb." This requires repression that causes corruption to thrive, such that people are dissuaded from creative inventive work, which leads to low productivity. Perversely, they can only allow productivity to certain extent, until that productive stakeholder becomes a threat to the established order.

Russia moves to defend its' existing border and asks for North Korean help under their mutual defense treaty 4. North Korea has to decide which side to support, also called which side to upset, or to stay out of it completely. It has no good option at this point. 5. The view that Japan would seek Nuke weapons is flawed, the very last nation that would be searching for those weapons is the Japanese! As the only nation to have suffered a nuke attack, the populace is very aware of the cost of having such a "deterrence", the populace will have none of that!

@@Seekrieg Perhaps I should rephrase, how about - "Japan might reason that if they've had nuclear weapons in the 1940s then they wouldn't have been attacked with them, so it makes sense to have one now." Japan has powerful and unscrupulous nuclear neighbours like North Korea and China, so I don't think it's stretching the bounds of possibility to suggest that they'd want a nuclear deterrent. I imagine Ukraine feels the same. It wouldn't have Russian troops on its soil right now if it still had the Soviet nuclear missiles it used to host.

For Russia, the alliance with North Korea provides both immediate and long-term benefits. 1. Military Support: In the face of significant manpower shortages and a slow recruitment process, North Korean troops and military supplies are a timely resource for Russia's war in Ukraine. These contributions help offset Russia's manpower deficits while bolstering its artillery supply. 2. Sanctions Workaround: North Korea's experience in circumventing Western sanctions would prove useful to Russia, which is facing its own economic restrictions. North Korea's existing networks for illicit trade could help Russia bypass certain sanctions or acquire restricted goods. 3. Strategic Buffer: North Korea's military support could potentially serve as a deterrent or distraction for the West, as the involvement of an additional country like North Korea complicates the conflict in Ukraine and forces Western nations to adjust their strategies.
