I always am sad to see abandoned buildings. I wonder what stories they would tell if they could talk

I agree, walking through the abandoned hotel passages and the bar is quite spooky. I can imagine how back in the day it would have been full of life.

Well it’s like walking through a cemetery so I doubt they would talk either, people sometimes choose to relocate kind regards

Why can't this place be revived and rebuild. It's a great challenge...then it can be called putsonderwater with lots of water....

Well it is privately owned, so who knows what could transpire, me, I actually kind of like it the way it is.

Why didn't the residents stop the station vandalism
@Kangela2 жыл бұрын
I think mainly because they had pretty much all left by the time the buildings started to get vandalised. The main damage to the main station building was caused by a lightning strike. There's an interesting discussion going on about the village with the land owner contributing as well, on my Facebook page, there's a post about this video there. I've learnt some interesting bits and pieces from that chat, quite a few memories and stories from people who had personal associations with the village.
