Putting a Bumper Back on the Chevy K10

After trying to mount a new bumper but finding out he would need new bumper mounts, Jim and Henry reinstall the rear bumper that came with Jim’s first truck. New or not, we need to work this truck and it’s hard to do that without a rear bumper and hitch.

Anyone know the tow rating on that bumper and is that a custom hitch or is there a part number?

It’s a universal style bumper (the former owner said he got it from JC Whitney back in the day) but the receiver hitch is custom. Dad says we shouldn’t trust it for more that 2-3k lbs trailer load and not more than a few hundred lbs of weight on the tongue.
