That track is kinkier than a chain link fence and seeing how everything traveling on it rocked and rolled like a rowboat in a storm it wouldn't come as a surprise if locomotives just jumped off of their own accord!

I am glad that you showed the resolution of the derailment. I was afraid you weren't going to.

What was the cause of the derailment? Rail spread, overweight car, speed, soggy ground?

I once worked for a company that picked up train derailments - unfortunately, I went on medical leave the first day and never had the opportunity to go back. This was back in the early 1970s, and I'm curious about what the pay is for this kind of thing today? I'm interested in knowing what kind of income I'd be making had I not gotten hurt and stayed with the company.

Wow that locomotive at the 250 mark was swaying badly as it was approaching you... Are the tracks bad in that area?
@SouthCoastRailVideos2 жыл бұрын
The track is the old jointed rail that is being replaced as part of the South Coast Rail project. Won’t be bad for long.
@MrJMS8142 жыл бұрын
Thats a normal amount of rocking for jointed rail I'd say

@@MrJMS814 Hmm...I have to say I don't think I've seen one rock that much...I think I'd be holding on tight if I was in that Loco..
@MrJMS8142 жыл бұрын
@@RailFanRob It gets way worse than that... This is about as smooth a ride as youll see on jointed track
@SouthCoastRailVideos2 жыл бұрын
As long as it’s maintained correctly jointed can be as smooth as welded rail. This specific section shown has always been rough hence the rocking.

What does the MBTA have to say about this? It doesn't look good for the South Coast Rail Project.
@SouthCoastRailVideos2 жыл бұрын
Because the train hit a tree they’re cancelling the whole project so sad.
