Putting a Turbo on my Honda Element | Turbo Toaster Part 2: Installing Turbo

In this video, I will me mounting a turbo and turbo manifold on a 2004 honda element. This is not as straight forward as you may think because there are a lot of thinks that need to be taken off in order for everything to sit where it needs to. I take you guys through what all needs to come off or change so that you can successfully mount the turbo and manifold.

Your content is great, but I would suggest some panels on the ceiling to reduce the echos in the garage. Also an additional camera for B-roll would help you out when you're editing.

Is it the stock engine or did u have to upgrade the engine for the turbo

Nothing has been done to the engine internally besides new plugs. I did have to get a different water neck but that's about it.

Im currently building mine element what manifold brand is that

It's called a sidewinder turbo manifold I believe I paid $400 for it...there are a lot of brands

Wouldnt it be a whole lot easier if the turbo mounted on the back side where the collector was on the stock manifold? Seems like a log manifold/header with short runners and a long cold side pipe to the throttle body would be a much easier installation?

That is what I was going to do at first until I started sizing everything up. There simply would not be enough room to put this size turbo back there, and plus the turbo is in a much more accessible spot to work on now.

taking the valve cover off and then working in a dirty engine bay with the cams wide open is such a recipe for disaster. even without turbocharging an NA K24 without changing bearings or building any internals.

It wasn't off for long...just enough to replace the seals and clean it up...filmed while we were waiting for the water to dry.
