putting braces! bite turbo sUCKS ;(

HELLO I hope spending a few minutes of your life watching my video was beneficial to you in any way and I wanna thank you for that :)
My experience with lower braces is very pleasant and not as uncomfortable as compared to having my upper braces done. It was so sore on the day I had them on and I got used to it the next day.
BUT as I have an overlapping bite, my Dentist has put a bite turbo on one of my front tooth to prevent the brackets from hitting each other. i called it a blocker in the video as I did not know what it's called back then
IT IS PAINFULLY ANNOYING, I can't chew anymore as all my teeth are not touching each other. I love eating and I am suffering #%¥&@¥&%@
Next appointment to change wires is in a month's time!

I guess it has to depend on your teeth progression. According to my friend who had her turbo behind, she have to wear throughout the braces journey however, she tends to grind her teeth in her sleep so her turbos came off and so the Dentist said there's no need for the turbos since it comes off easily for her case. Mine was taken off after 3 dreadful months as my upper teeth were no longer knocking the bottom braces!

I got my braces on today and they hurt so much, I got 2 bite turbos on 2 of my back molars (1 on each molar). It feels so odd to bite down and eat, my orthodontist said some people have it on their whole treatment, but hopefully that is not the case because that would really suck.

Does your jaw feel sore? I just got mine and it feels like the bite turbo was uneven. I had to put effort in finding the right spot to rest my teeth together when I close my mouth. I can't close it the way it used to before. Do you have trouble adjusting your jaw?

@@ckylmllr1442 After a few weeks to a month of having them you should feel better about them. Since I have had them for 2 months, I would say I rarely even realize I have them on! You just get used to them after a while. My jaw felt a little sore after the braces, but not as much the bite turbos. At first, yes I did have some trouble adjusting my jaw. But, as i said you just get used to it. I hope you have a wonderful journey with your bite blocks. I'm sure in the end they will really help! :)

Day 2 you definitely won't be able to chew anything at all!! Don't even try :$ what I did was tell myself to give my jaw a break from all those chewings my whole life hahaha. Get creative- drink juice, smashed bananas with peanut butter, porridge, soups etc. Smashed potatoes with mozerella cheese is soooo good oh boy you gotta try it

It could be that you're grinding your teeth when you're asleep!! If not it should stay there without dropping that easily. Ask your Dentist if it's due to that? Or you can get a retainer sorta thing that helps with teeth grinding

For me, I can't munch on anything for the first week. As the week goes by, I was able to bite and chew. Try to appreciate soft food like smoothies, porridge and take this time to give your jaw a break! Just bare for awhile before you know, you can resume eating normally. :D

Depends on how your teeth shift, you might be able to chew a bit better! The turbo is there to refrain your top and bottom teeth from touching so you won't keep knocking the braces which is pretty painful

It is damn frustrating I understand your pain. I wanted to rip off my teeth so badly. But do know that the pain will slowly go away you should be able to munch a little after 1-2 weeks!

Is your turbo in front or behind? Mine was when my upper teeth shifted and didn't hinder the lower brackets then my orthodontist took out, took around 3 months
