Putting My Flowerhorn With Other Fish?

Carson, you should dirt the tank while re arranging it. You can do research if you do not know or are not sure how to do it. Then you can add live plants to your tank, and you may have success with keeping them healty. Only if the fish do not eat them.

The guppy is a female! Looks like she's pregnant too, so if she actually does survive long enough to give birth, the fry won't last long haha

Carson, the water in the quarantine tank looks very strange. Maybe thats another reason why they act so dead in the tanks. I would recommend doing a ammonia test.

@@siniestroelite2131 it could be, but it still looks pretty cloudy. I don't think a bare bottom tank would make a fish act so dead-like. I think it's more of the water quality...

Oscar's are dramatic. When things aren't favorable, they sulk. This can be anything from a light in the wrong place. To just you being there.

I’m not so sure but I think Pluto might jus be a very high quality female since 9/10 a flowerhorn with a black spot on its top fin is usually female

when im adding new cichlids i usualy add a ditter fish or 3 fishes at once and turn off the lights to let them establish their territory. You can add more decoration to break their line of sight. This methods arent 100% accurate but it can help

@@ANTONl027 its not cause they have night vision its because when i turn off the light its time for them sleep and when they wake up they feel like that fish as already been there. Another reason is because in every tank theres a alpha fish and normally are the more colorful fish and when you add another fish the lights will intensify the colours and the alpha male will see that as a threat

When I add new fish I take out all the fish put them in a bucket together. Rearrange the tank and do a big water change. Then add them all together back into the tank.

Hi, I just wanted to ask you that a couple days ago I got a baby turtle and I filled up the water like half way and he was keep swimming onto the glass and I lowered the water level and all he does is sit on the gravel and stays there, he doesn’t try to swim. Is there anything I can do so he can swim?

I have a 55 gallon tank with my small Flowerhorn (approx. 5") and I also have 2 Firemouths in a growout tank that are about 2" each. I am hopefully going to move the Firemouths into the 55 in a few months. Is there any way to keep them alive?

Speakin’ of cichlids, how’re the hybrid fry? From what I remember, convict/parrot hybrids don’t actually look very much like “convict parrots” unless both parents are short-bodied. Even so, the color and body profile of convict parrots is more indicative of a normal short bodied convict with a mouth defect, so the chances are your fry will look like convicts and have an ever so slightly higher body, if anything changes at all.

Firemouths are such a roll of dice. Convicts you expect aggression but Firemouths, certain things just piss them off. I think it's certain colours. I added a adult firemouth to my established American cichlid tank. Being the last fish in, you would think he would be neutral but instead he bullied and nipped at everyone to the point where I had to return him. Totally antisocial and absolutely hated my blood parrot and severum. Challenged my eba tank boss as well. Didn't mind my buenos aires tetras or my juvie shark or my plecos (smaller, dull looking fish) but anything else with vibrance he absolutely hated.

Maybe try putting a few caves in each Corner maybe some flower pots to try to give them some places to call their own and they'll leave Pluto alone also black belts can be very aggressive give him his own space in the corner with a pot I think you'll be happy
