Flowerhorns should not be in tanks with rocks or sand. Flowerhorns will pick up the rocks and sand and might get a duck lip infection due to getting small cuts in their lips. Duck lip infection is a very fetal sickness that can nock out your flowerhorn in three days. I lost a show grade kamfa due to this.

Hello. I've been a fan for awhile and am needing some advice. I have a 75 gallon tank with 4 minnows, 2 bala sharks, 2 ghost shrimp, 1 albino rainbow shark, 1 red tailed shark, and 1 male butterfly beta. I let the tank cycle for a full week and put then in during the second week. It's the third week now and the water is kind of cloudy. Do I have too many fish?

One way to make the kok grow bigger and faster, if you want, they are dominant and territorial fish. A lot of people I know throw in a parrot cichlid in the same tank. Testosterone makes him want to dominate, therefore causing his kok to grow bigger and faster. Just a tip I learned

Kamfa are beautiful fish!! I like the name too! I've always found Flowerhorn to be a bit messier than my other fish. But I keep my tanks well filtered so... Spot cleaning and regular water changes every week to week and a half

Anyways, to clean up some confusion and hopefully giving you some advice for the future, if I were you I would definatly take out the substrate and all decos as these fish are very complex and are very very vulnerable for accidents/damages and diseases.
