I'm 36 and child free by choice. I'm also happily married. There are times I feel a bit bored in my life, because I dont work outside the home and I don't have kids to raise... But I still dont regret not having them, and being bored wouldn't be a good reason to have had them. I think the main thing is find fulfillment in your life, and that will look different for everyone. I started volunteering again. I may foster in the future.

35 this December and happily married and child free! I always think I may foster far into the future when I have the means, but otherwise I always think to myself like "omg imagine trying to do this activity with a kid" like, taking naps and taking 6 hours to do my nails and hair 😂 I'm grateful every day. Plus my genes do not need to get passed down, poor kid would just have one hell of life lmao

I'm 35, happily married and no children by choice. I love it. I actually have time to pursue things I want to do while I work part time. I have a great marriage, and time to invest in the marriage. And having a baby scares the shit outta me, too. I knew at a young age that I didn't want to be a mother. Zero regrets. If I really want to have a kid later on, I might adopt. (These decisions are both mine and my husband's) I'm glad to see that you're figuring out what you want in life, what you want to do etc. It can be hard, but soul searching and being honest to yourself is key regardless of what society expects from you. At the end of the day, you have live your life the way you want you, not for anyone else. Love you Blair!

I am 33 with a 41 year old husband and we chose to go child free. All I know is if I did have children, I would have wanted to want them when I was younger. I used to really be conflicted about having them in my late 20s and was worried I would regret not having them. But honestly with the state of the world I feel better not having them. I remember being a child and having frequent thoughts in certain personal settings of "Wow. If I had a kid I would not do that or put them through that." When I was with certain people around me. I also love the freedom. I think I would have been a good mom but it just wasnt in the cards. We have a desire to foster older teens that need a family when we are older.

I never really wanted kids in my brain like you but in my heart somewhere deep I think I always did (even though I didn’t know it). You’re body does become a factory but it’s an amazing thing. I was scared the whole time I was pregnant my first time but it’s amazing and honestly you don’t know how special that bond is until you have one. Yes you will probably mess them up, we all mess our kids up. There is probably no way to not mess up our kids. You don’t have to have a baby now, you can always do it later but if you are scared of traumatizing your kids then you would be a great mother because you are thinking about them more than yourself.

Im 44 years old, no kids. So, so, grateful for that. I keep wondering if I will regret it. The more time that passes, the happier I am with my decision. All the reasons you mention are very valid. Time, money, responsibility, loosing body autonomy, freedom, financial freedom, breaking the ancestral lineage of trauma - these are all very good things to consider before having or not having children. I applaud you Blair for taking time to consider your own needs and wants. I feel like a lot of people have children to validate themselves, and then feel empty or resentful when it doesn't. You have the power to rule your life, and you are doing a damn fine job, imho. Thanks for being real. ❤ From New Mexico

It was unexpected but very welcomed and i’m so excited 💜 i was soo scared at first but it’s normal to be terrified of the whole thing and there is a lot to worry about, but something changes within you when you’re becoming a mother. I think mothers always wonder if they’re good enough it’s called “mom guilt” 🤣 but It’s like my entire life led me to this and I honestly was not ready at all but i wouldn’t change it for anything. I feel you so much. I'm 30 now and I've been forever torn on having kids or not. I always say if I could live life twice i wouldn't have kids cause I could have them in my next life and just live this life for me. I just still have so many things I want to do and feel like I'd never have the time to do them if I had kids, I don't want to dedicate my entire life to kids that don't even know what sacrifice you made for them? Sure kids can be amazing and cute and all that but then there"s also the chance that you're unlucky and your baby has something wrong with it or grows up to be a criminal or something. That's a lot to think about. I don't want to put my happy relationship on the line for something i'm not sure I even want, so yeah, some of the reasons i'm not sure I'd want kids, and I keep being told by my mom that time is running out so I better make up my mind lmao.

Blair….LET ME TELL YOU I WAS THE SAME WAY AS YOU. Family will always guilt trip you into that and let me tell you , all your worries are right. I had the same ones. Honey I decided to marry at 22 right after college when I was about to take off. All because of the marriage and baby thing. Currently I’m 25 and looking back and I barely had a baby and it is a beautiful experience but birth is no joke, I almost died. Idk how these women have 5+ kids. It’s a risk every single time. Plus, your life is over. Or on pause, the moment you’re pregnant. You’re an incubator for something that’s living. And I loved it but it’s no joke. If you’re not ready, DONT DO IT. Idky people never express it enough. Oh and it’s very lonely. Once the hubby/baby daddy goes to work, it’s just you and baby. No one told me that I would be sleepless. It’s not like going to school full time and work full time and going clubbing and working out all in the same day (I did that all through college) it’s more like you’re bleeding out from your vaginal tears and feelin like a truck hit you while you’re trying to feed a little fragile baby with sore, crackled nipples. And you’re business affairs are on pause. You’re also putting the baby over everything even your recovery if you have no help (my mom didn’t come over to help me I had to take care of baby and myself and the house). It’s not for the unprepared. I’m not trying to scare you but I’m helping a pretty girl out, I wish someone told me this. I would have been more prepared financially on my end (luckily hubby is good) but I want to be more of an example and I’m still working on it.

Girl, when you're 75 years old... Family is all gone , mom, dad, aunt's, uncle's, couple cousins here and there and then your siblings ... The only people you'll have are your children. That's not selfish that's continuing life for your children, having yours and your partners features, character, traits, personality. ... When you're laying on your hospital bed you'll want your children right there to help you and console you and be there for you telling you it's alright if things aren't going good etc. You can always bounce back after children, you just have to try so don't worry about your body.

My ethical dilemma is that I feel like it would be irresponsible to contribute to the overpopulation of the world, when our rate of waste and consumption is at alarmingly unsustainable levels (and has been for years) while also not doing enough to combat climate change. BUT THEN I think about the movie “Idiocracy” when literally only idiots are reproducing and how important it would be to raise future generations who will be kind and compassionate and selfless. AND THEN I think about how there are so many kids who need to be adopted (in America, let alone in the rest of the world) and how I am such a shitty person for saying I’m interested in adoption when I know deep in my soul that I will never attempt to look into that. I also have ZERO financial capacity to raise any children, whether biological or foster/adopted because I am barely making ends meet while working over full time and I’m only taking care of myself. Wait until your 30’s to have kids. 20’s are for fun. 30’s things get a little more serious and people around you are having kids so going out doesn’t happen as much. having a baby for the first time is scary. Your body changes in so many ways and everything new you feel you wonder if it’s normal or not. BUT the payoff is unimaginable. You get to see the world through innocent eyes that are discovering things for the first time. I didn’t think I could have kids so I mourned being a mom years ago, but I just had a baby last year. Things do get hard at times, but it’s worth it. I have so much happiness and joy just from seeing my baby happy. Hearing little baby giggles are the best. Breast feeding is hard at first, but there are no bottles to clean, don’t have to buy formula, and I use it as an excuse to go take a nap with my baby. Moohaha

You still have so much time to decide if you want kids, try not to stress!! My ex put so much pressure on me to have his babies when I turned 32, 33 and ultimately it was a huge factor in why we broke up, I wasn’t ready yet. Now my new man, who has given me three step sons by the way (which I highly recommend, you get the experience of kids without shooting them out of your body, I mean it’s super hard in its own ways but pretty cool) the other day got super thoughtful and said he would give me a baby when I was like 37,38 if I decided I want one, it was really cute the way he said it. My mom had me when she was 41…women have kids even later than that now! My point, if anyone made it this far in this ramble, is try not to stress over it because life ends up happening and all the worry is for nothing ❤

I can honestly say I feel the exact same way about you with the kids situation. It’s weird though because I am absolutely best friends with my mom. She is my other half we do everything together and life would not even close to good without her. So I realize that that kind of sounds odd that I myself am unsure of having children, but I am definitely at that age where you start thinking about it and I’m still on the fence… it used to be a hard no and now it’s a little bit of well no but… luckily, I don’t get any pressure from my mom but I know she’ll be such a wonderful grandma that I put pressure on myself… One of my biggest things though is that I was sick through my late teens and a good majority of my 20s so I want to travel and do things for myself now that I’m doing better and I’m concerned I would obviously be giving a lot of that up 🤷🏼‍♀️

I envy you so much with the relationship you have with your mom. I never got along with my mom and she was verbally and emotionally very abusive to me. I’m in my 30s and I’m planning to move just to get away from her. I will maintain a long distance relationship but I have no desire to ever try a closer relationships with her again. I have tried my entire life to have a good relationship with her . I’m happy that you are in a good place with your mom

@@ccalexander1924 Well thank you, and I’m sorry you don’t have a good relationship with your mom. I will say that moving away will probably be the best decision. I’ve learned in my life that the best thing is to stay away from toxic people, even if they’re family. Mourn the loss of the relationship you had hoped for and then try to move on. Choose your family 😊 Best of luck!

i’m 31 (nonbinary) with my 34 year old trans gf and we’re childless by choice! we’ve been unmarried and together for 10 years happily w no kids ❤️ it’s amazing to have the freedom and to know i’m not contributing to trauma for young kids that we simply wouldn’t be prepared to help. i have chronic illnesses as well that make it hard to keep up w things, so it’s always been a worry. you’re not alone in your thinking to go childless or not get married, girl. ❤️ i think it’s best to live your life as authentically as you can and if that means not shackling yourself to a man or babies then so be it! or if you change your mind, you absolutely can. there’s always adoption, as we may consider later down the road, as well. love your candid talks as always, and hope your time at home has been refreshing! ❤️

30 and child free 👏🏻 i have eastern European parents too and theyre still waiting on a grandkid from me 🤦🏻‍♀️ honestly dont understand how people work and care for a child, its never appealed to me for as long as i can remember, the whole process, having someone rely on you, bringing it up in this fudged up world, i also have an immune disorder and other disorders i would hate to pass on. the money is great, i have heaps of freedom, i have a wonderful boyfriend of 9 years and a husky who is basically my child anyways. i know this is the right decision for me even if its not right for someone else 👏🏻💜

I barely comment on KZbinrs I like content because I’m a silent viewer lmaoo, but Blair’s content and how she acts on her videos has changed so much. She is so much more robotic now and her face looks very different and it just sucks because she used be so funny and that’s such a good personality trait for a content creator. She is so LA now the way she talks and the topics she talks about. I hope she is okay and hope she is successful though.

I love what you do & really live your vids, they are so funny, but idk if I’d call it “trolling” bc that’s usually like cruel intentions and like attacking a certain person or group… I consider what you post a lot as just pure parody vs trolling, while also being oddly transparent about certain aspects of your life that others try so hard to hide, which is what makes your content so great and funny. You have tons to share without having to share everything & that boundary you keep is really cool. Next time you do one of these, I’d love to hear about your comedy influences & where you got your sense of dry humor from (also very European).

You should adopt when you’re older and feel ready. Sounds like you fear the trauma that pregnancy might bring to your body and that’s totally valid ❤ lucky for you so many kids need loving homes or you could have a surrogate. Don’t feel pressured by society to think you should naturally enjoy pregnancy, lots of people don’t. Why not pay someone who wants to be pregnant, you’ll love your kid just the same

Girl, every mother feels that way, that they don’t think they’ll be good enough, but it so fulfilling and the best job you’ll ever have, family is everything. Also being pregnant is different for everyone but women have been doing it since the start of time, you can do it. I hated being pregnant lol but it was worth it because my kids are awesome(:

Im 28 married and childfree by choice. I love kids i love helping take care of them and talking to them. I love seeing them grow and become something bigger than i can even imagine. BUT fuck i rlly love my free time i love not having a strict schedule. I love the relationship i have with my parents but i dont see how i could have that with someone. Literally stuck to me for the rest of my life, id feel suffocated. Bc being married is one thing, but i still mostly get to do what i want, he cant dictate my schedule but a kid would lol. I just really feel like you should take a long hard look at how you want your life to go. What you want your day to day to be like and if eventually u can see ur self living that kind of life then sure go for it but for me…that sounds..like just too much lol I admire moms but i love my self too much to give up pieces of me ❤

I wish Americans weren’t so obsessed with A/C…I live in New England, I live for the three months of the year where I’m not freezing to death, and if I have to work somewhere with aggressive A/C (almost any workplace) I freeze all year long. I just started a new career as a massage therapist and was so excited to not work in a freezing cold office environment anymore, but the massage clinic I work at pumps the A/C like a bunch of 45 year old men in button down shirts work there…

I've never wanted kids in my life. I'm neurodivergent (adhd and autism) and its never been an interest to care for an other person in that kind of way. My dad (also adhd and autism) idealized having kids and what we'd be like and got very dissapointed when we weren't his ideal image of what he had imagined having children would be like, which made him lose interest completely. He also got angry very fast because of the overstimulation. I want myself to be able to mindlessly indulge in hyper fixations and put myself first whenever I need to recover from overstimulation. I'm also very big on privacy in my home.
