I used to have a grand cherokee limited with the 5.9. I bought it from a cash lender place who couldn't take it to auction cause it had 4 flat tires and a busted radiator. I offered 200 for it, and to have it out their way and they agreed. I took a look at the odometer and it said 68,000 miles. Replacing that radiator, regular oil changes and tires is all I ever did to it for over 40,000 more miles. Most dependable thing I ever owned. All time 4wd and a 5.9 also meant I embarrassed a lot of people off the line at redlights but it had no top end. Overall one of my favorites.

99’-04’ grand Cherokee gas tank explodes in a rear end collision. You need a receiver hitch to protect the gas tank so you don’t get burnt! They actually had a recall on them. Many people have been trapped inside while the things burned!

4 hole injectors for a quick, cheap power adder from Precision auto injectors. They specialize is jeep 4.0. Or do the "poor man stroker". Read about it. Had great results on mine. 4.2 crank, stock rod, speed pro pistons, cam or leave stock, toss it back together. Makes it a 4.6. Huge difference! Specially if you do the cam. No tuning just bigger injectors. The 4 hole Injectors are so much better then the stock 1 hole. Squirt vs mist! Got that good fuel atomization!!

Cant hurt them 4.0s ive had 2 XJs. The first had the infamous 0331 head that cracked before i got it so i bought a performance head and lasted till the next owner decided to go a lil to deep and drink a few gallons of water sending a piston where it didnt belong. I was clocked beside my buddies GSXR 600 at 138 mph one day which surprised me and him.
