At your home base, why not build out of hard dirt a side ramp to pull things off and to load things from the side.
@philipnangle3551 Жыл бұрын
I ran a hydrologic goose neck a little over 40 years ago. Carrying everything from a 988 to a D 8. Took just minutes to load or unload. BUT. You need a wet system. A PTO. A hydrologic oil 🛢 tank. A hydrologic line. Another but. Had all the hydrologic system. We also ran dump trailers. 😎👍

Tim just some good advice you never load or unload anything off the side!! You can break a cross member from the stress or twist the trailer an also tear up the outer frame rails that was horrifying and very dangerous, I pulled everything from an RGN to s 13 axles I'm not saying I know everything but I did it for 21 1/2 years I wish whomever you bought the trailer from should of taken time to show you how to operate the trailer and some major safety things on loading and unloading. I hope you take my advice good luck on future journeys

Use to love my W-900 rode like a Cadillac the more weight the better it rode and pulled dove it for yrs traded it for a 379 Pete boy want a difference was one of those trades you make and it seems like a good one because of the excitement but I soon regretted it it never rode or pulled like my W-900 but soon after the trade got injured by a old cow thought she ran off but she didn’t guess she didn’t like the ride but it was my fault not making sure she got off and not pulling center gate anyways she caught me and roughed me up tore up my back and did a tap dance on my ankle thank god for another driver who had backed in beside me at the other chute he got in my trailer and got her to chase him but after that I couldn’t drive anymore so sold my trailers and truck was one of the saddest days of my life right when everything was going great money life family it all went to hell but fast forward I was able to recover and retire as a certified welder and weird how life works but I sure miss the driving but most important the other fine men out there on the road there is no other job like it I miss it everyday

Tim, when your redoing the Pete's interior, sound deadening mat, and then insulating mat, throughout, figure out how thick it will be to allow, for fitting around the brake and throttle pedals. Your air conditioning and heating wont have to work as hard, and you can sit in the cab without going stone deaf. I'm not a fan of carpet or wood flooring in a work truck, but that's me. Best wishes from the far North.
