Fernanda, the video was perfect, not rambly at all. Buttercup is cute for sure. I've been building my Spring Capsule using Stylebook app but I love this idea of using Pinterest as well.

I don't know Stylebook App. Do you like it more than Pinterest? Should we all download it?

@@vazq_Fernanda Yes, it's awesome! I tagged you in my Instagram, so you could see my Spring Capsule using the app.

@@vazq_Fernanda Hi Fernanda! Fairly new subscriber on your channel & enjoying it so far! Just as an FYI, Stylebook is only available on Apple devices and not Android, which I have. ☹ I've asked repeatedly if they'll make an Android version but to no avail. There are a few other apps for both operating systems but from what I hear from all iPhone users, Stylebook is the best. I've tried 3 different Android apps and not happy with any of them individually. It takes some work to upload photos if you can't find them downloadable on the internet but it is great being able to build your own closet exactly as you have them in your closet & create individual outfit boards! They can also scan your closet randomly and put together outfits from your closet. You'll have a lot of fun!! **Pam

@@pamcamcris So helpful to know that for those of us who are Android users. Thanks for sharing!

@@vazq_Fernanda actually downloaded the Smart Closet app this morning. I used to have it before and stopped using it for about a year now becauseIgot a new phone (old one completelydied!) & just never downloaded the app to this newer phone. For some reason my old account can't be found so I now have to start all over again. A lot of work goes into it but it's so much fun when you start playing with outfits and plugging it into the calendar. Watch the video in the app description & some KZbin reviews, they're really helpful. -*-*Pam

I used to not be, and I spent a lot more time shopping and was significantly less happy with all the clothes that I owned (plus it was a lot more expensive). This works better for me - if I buy something, I know it's because I'm gonna love wearing it!

You are like my capsule-planning twin! This is just how I've been using Pinterest lately, and it's really exciting to see another New Yorker (who understands the woes of radiators in mid-spring...) exploring and presenting this so cohesively. Brava!

Thanks for the video. Coincidentally I did the same thing a few weeks ago after watching one of your other capsule wardrobe videos :) The part I struggle with is finding a good system for saving all my outfit combination ideas. I use an app currently, but I'd rather it be something I can do on my desktop.
@vazq_Fernanda4 жыл бұрын
Mhm... I don't think Pinterest is the best place for that, but let me do some research and see what I can come up with. I'm sure there is something out there.
@irairod51604 жыл бұрын
Janine, I create a VERY simple 2 x 2 table on Word (4 boxes per page) and then copy and paste tops, bottoms, and shoes in different combinations inside each box. I don't have every outfit plotted, only favorite ones or ones I want to remember. For example, wearing a sleeveless sheath dress ***over*** a long sleeve blouse or turtleneck is a combo that I often forget to put together...so I copy an image of a black sheath dress inside 4 boxes, and add a different blouse inside each box. If I'm feeling fancy, I add shoes, belts, and scarves to each combo. It's not hard at all to do. To start, keep an image collection (exact pieces when you buy them, or stand-ins when they are thrifted) on one Word document and the table template on a separate doc, open both, and copy-paste from one to the other. You can even print your favorite combos and keep them in a binder for when you need inspiration! The 2 x 2 layout ends up looking somewhat like the "striped top" example shown on this page: classyyettrendy.com/2015/11/how-to-wear-a-striped-top-4-ways.html/ Enjoy!
