Calgary Ghostbusters patches are brilliant, worth the £££

I made my first ecto goggles from an old virtual reality headset & old prescription bottles. Couldn't see out of them , they were made to sit on the top of my head

Excellent tutorial. I’ve been very curious about those Magnoli jumpsuits.

I definitely want to see one in person. I'm tempted when I have more cash. I see they just literally released their own belts as well.

Should do a similar video for a Ghostbusters 2 uniform.

If there is one in your area, a military surplus store is a great place to get flight suits, belts, and boots

Hah... Cool kit, man. One thing- The 'fake pockets' are for accessing the actual pockets in the pants that a person is intended to wear beneath a flight suit; coveralls are outerwear, after all, so the person inside is assumed to be fully dressed, before they suit up. 👍👍

Ahhh, so logical and obvious now you say that but never thought of it. I used to think maybe it was a way of cooling down 🤣 Thanks for the info!

@@stewartmcminn7773 no worries :) The costume change was new for the holiday park shows this year. I did use the pack for the first couple of shows but not all the parks have a curtain to set up behind and it was very awkward to set up in front of the audience without them seeing it, and was a faff to transport with all my other gear, so decided to drop it. Talking of dropping I need to drop the flying table from tonight's show as it broke last night, don't think the kids noticed, they were busy going for the sweets 😅 can't fix it until I'm home tomorrow.
@stewartmcminn7773 Жыл бұрын
@The Magic Ghostbuster my Mrs noticed the broken table 😂😂😂 I think you covered it well tbh nobody else noticed
Original boots should be the orig. US Military Combat Boots from ALTAMA (from the 80s, all leather not the jungle ones). Since they are not produced anymore i would go with the similar ROTHCO boots or the new cosplay "paranormal boots" by Magnoli Clothiers. Don't forget that they had quick release zippers attached to them in GB ;)

I will say if people can’t afford all the gizmos and gadgets, they can always go with an afterlife style cause they didn’t have gadgets and gizmos in that film, so saves getting a PKE meter and a ghost trap 😁
@northernlight88578 ай бұрын
One thing I say with all cosplay...you dont have to get everything at once. Start slow. Start with the suit and patches + the belt. Then expand by the speed of your budget . If a project require work. Finish it before getting 5 other projects.

Brilliant video as always mate ! There are so many ‘makers’ these days to choose from for gear as well, makes the market more interesting to see the same gear but done differently :)
@TheMagicGhostbuster Жыл бұрын
Thanks mate :) I want to make another pack one day but do a bit different.

For anyone having trouble sourcing a yellow leg hose, you can dye a clear PVC hose using phenazopyridine hydrochloride pills for urinary and bladder infections, marketed under brand names like AZO. A few pills, dissolved in hot water, soak the hose in it for a few minutes, and it'll be permanently dyed. Afterward, just flush it with warm water, to get the excess color off, so it won't stain your flight suit.

Thanks for the tip :)

Another easier option not sure if all this is needed but its what I threw together and worked really well… hot water, apple cider vinegar, yellow food dye and turmeric. Left submerged hose about 24 hours.

Only one shoulder sleeve patch should be worn and it should be on the left shoulder like the first movie
@TheMagicGhostbuster Жыл бұрын
Correct, the classic logo goes on the left shoulder. Fans groups place their own logo patch on that empty shoulder, which is so traditional it was in one of the official books.

I had a terrible experience with Firehouse props. Honestly, really, really bad, the guy is a little wacky. I've seen people say good things, but he is literally the only person I've had such a terrible experience. Without going into details, I will remember how crappy that guy was forever... Everyone else mentioned, great great people. I found legit leather and metal mt500 cases new old stock still shrinkwrapped for like $10 a piece on ebay. Firehouse charges a ton (no that wasnt my problem, I overspend alot on my stuff). Doug is awesome and answers all your questions. Worked with him for years. But yeah, when I heard "Firehouse Props" I cringed.
