Was almost at the end of putting this together. The darn left pedal won't screw in I think I stripped it trying to get it in 😢 one small piece to make the whole thing unusable smh

I have a few questions is the bike no suppose to back pedal, is the handle supposed to turn to the sides when your not holding it, and how can I loosen the chain a little my cousin kind struggle when pedaling I see he trying to put alot of force just for it to go
