Concrete would have been a better choice, and proper compaction of base coarse.

Hi, great video… Can I ask your advice…. Ive just added Govee Pro 100ft to the perimeter of my home… All is nice… But I have a porch 20ft below and another 5ft to the right… I hear on a video you can’t extend beyond 18ft as they will flickr… If all is ok I’ll need to order an extra two strands of lights… Is this possible? Many thanks 🙏

I plan on installing eufy lights under the fascia as well. I have a bay window protruding, which interferes with having a straight run. Would like to see distance pictures also. Thanks

I'll get a photo posted in my community tab later tonight!
I temporarily placed the lights 4" from the wall and at 12"(under the fascia). At 4", the light casts a bigger shadow down the wall which has cedar style vinyl siding. At 12", shadow is diminished. How can I add a photo?

Thanks for this video!! My home is similar to yours with the exposed eaves and I was trying to figure out how to install these. I think I'm going to install them like you did under the gutters near the edge of the eaves.

Thank you! Good luck!

Thx for the video. Now that you installed, what’s your thoughts on installing these on the face of the fascia and not under? Basically the way the old C9 lights use to look and not the wall wash effect? Thx for the advice
@WingingItDIY24 күн бұрын
I wanted them protected from the weather as much as possible. The eaves are a good 1.5 to 2 feet away from the wall and it is a much more subtle effect than others I have seen that are right up against the wall.

great video! question, when turning this thing off, do you have to disconnect the hose leading to the propane tank or is just turning it off fine? Also, is this thing capable of getting wet?
@WingingItDIY5 күн бұрын
I would just get into the habit of turning off the supply at the propane tank. It hasnt had any issues in the rain.

@cherrypoutines62692 ай бұрын
how is it holding up? did you find out why the soil underneath was eroding?
@WingingItDIYАй бұрын
There ended up being a bigger issue with soil under the large concrete pad that kept eroding away. I would use the aquaphalt again for sure, that stuff is rock solid. If it wasn’t for the bigger problem the aquaphalt would have been a great solution for the long term.
@cherrypoutines6269Ай бұрын
@WingingItDIY so how did you fix the soil erosion? water diversion + replace the missing soil?
@WingingItDIYАй бұрын
@@cherrypoutines6269 Hired a local concrete company to pour a concrete slurry, basically a super watery mix, down into the sink hole until it filled it completely. Then asphalted on top of that.

That might’ve worked for now, but that is not how you solder. That was a cold joint. You have to heat the wire component to the point that the solder melts.
