Puyo Puyo 3/SUN (1998, PC) - 1 of 3: Draco's Holiday [English][720p60]

This is the 2009 Puyo Nexus English patch.
Played on Easy difficulty because I have problem adapting to the F-H-B controls on the PC version. So I play this on easier difficulty purely for the story, and play other ports in harder difficulty.
Poor Draco gets cooked in the blistering sun.

It reminds me of the credits after beating Spring Breeze on Kirby Super Star (Ultra), which is also ridiculously fast (although It's perfectly synchronized to the music).

@Green Maskass [SPOILER ALERT FOR KIRBY STAR ALLIES] fake out credits also appear in Kirby Star Allies, once for when you beat Dedede, and again right before you face Morpho Knight in the Co-Star Allies mode.

At least Sonic Team still has some good writers in the ST Puyo Puyo games, especially when they started reusing the pre-Fever characters since 15th Anniversary (in Fever and Fever 2, only Arle and Carbuncle are present), and they made a great job at bringing the character traits to life. The English localization of PPT and PPT2 also made a dang good job at localizing the game as well.

The creator of Puyo Puyo (who's also the founder of Compile) later formed the short-lived studio Aiky in 2003, that studio closed between 2006-2007 and formed his third studio Compile Heart in 2007 before leaving the company 6 years later. He's currently the CEO of his own company COMPILE◯ (or Compile Maru) since 2016 and released 2 games as of now (Nyoki Nyoki: Tabidachi Hen, a game based on his previous puzzle game Pochi and Nyaa, and Dominon). He also has a YT channel called MOOTV.

Jack Brady Nah. This used DirectX5 so it probably required a fast PC. I’m guessing it was more to save storage space than to be easier to run.

It is. In fact, the game you mention is the American version of the game. Puyo Puyo used Sonic characters in America and was called Dr. Robotnik's bean machine. And also, for nintendo they used Kirby characters. Madou Monogatari characters are not that popular in America/Europe as you can see.

***** The counter attack was a nice addition, but to be honest I thought Puyo Tsu was duller in almost every other regard, less modes and no cutscenes with blander cosmetics. The SNES and PC versions added back the extras, though sadly it's the Genesis/MD version that always gets ported.
