What size and quantity of flexible metal conduit did you use to fill the inside of 6" PVC? Looks like 6 pieces of metal conduit. Are they 2" diameter? I tried the Greenlee plugs and air pressure but couldn't get the plugs to hold the amount of pressure needed to prevent kinking. One would eventually blow out. Thank you

You can use 3/4" steel flexible metal conduit as it is available. One company used dryer vent hose in 8" pipe. It needs to be metal and is simply used to fill the space around the PVC Bendit which allows the pipe to heat to more evenly. Regarding the plugs, I have not tried what I am suggesting but I was thinking one could attach a few 'C' Clamps to the end of the pipe and this would stop the plugs from exiting. Let us know if you try this and how it works. Thanks, Mike

can you bend 10" diameter pvc or pe pipe? What would happen if you start pulling the heated pipe? what profile can you achive?

I've never attempted to heat 10" pipe. I believe it would be very difficult to work with so I don't suggest it.

is it possible to order a bent pipe?

No, unfortunately. We only manufacture the PVC Bendit tool, not the PVC itself. If you are interested in pipe that has already been bent, visit our site and click on "Distributors." They may offer what you are looking for...

Hello and thanks for your comment. You can go online to our website: www.pvcbendit.com and click on Buy PVC Bendits --- there you will see our product offerings and you can select the Series A or B and the length i.e. 3, 6, 9, 10 or 20' length - you desire. If you are not located in the US send us an email and let us know the address where it would need to be shipped and we will determine if we can ship to that location. PVC Bendits work using 120 volt current. Mike

Near boiling water in a trough does all the above....at almost no cost.

There are many ways to bend PVC pipe and the PVC Bendit simply offers one method. Perhaps you have or will post your method on KZbin. BTW at what cost is the 9' or 10' trough if one must purchase it.

@@SMEInkJet My needs are limited to short but sharp bends for diy dust collection ducting. A couple of boards nailed in a ‘V’ and a kettle is all I fuss with. Near boiling water softens the plastic almost instantly. For kinking I switch to oven-hot sand. Strictly a rare-use, home-made operation. jim n.

@@jamesnasmith984 How do you submerge the center of the pvc in a "kettle"? Wouldn't it need to already have a bend in it?
@jamesnasmith9843 жыл бұрын
@@grumblycurmudgeon No submersion to start with. Pour-over does the heating. As the bend develops the elbow sags into a large bucket if you choose to go for submersion.
