Thanks - funny enough I´m playing it right now and it is pretty cool...even if you loathe PvP. They throw so much gear at you and it is very easy to build a stash, even if you die every time you encounter a player. You need to play it as a stealth game, avoiding PvP and avoid hotspots, or wait until the end and try to loot leftovers. But it feels amazing to play, can´t wait for the campaign. It´s like a perfectly streamlined Tarkov with a faster paced gameplay. Only big thing is TTK, which is WAY to short atm.

Insurgency Sandstorm's Co-Op is also a top notch, especially Hardcore mode. I've spent more then 200hrs just playing it before switching to PvP Great video, ma man!

Thank you! Yeah Insurgency Sandstorm as a solo only player seems a little co-op dependent and some videos mentioned a non-existing progression. I need to give it a try when it is on sale the next time.

Great video. I would add Ground Branch (bad AI, but otherwise great), and Zero Hour (not the best quality, but extremely fun)

Thank you! Yeah, I know both but did not play them so far - GB seems to be pretty wonky and at a very early stage (granted, same goes for RtV) and Zero Hour seems to be PvP from the description? Maybe you can share some detail about that game.

​@@wholesomegamer Ground Branch plays quite nicely, but it does feel incomplete. The development has been extremely slow. And honestly, I am not sure if they are up to the task, for example when it comes to the implementation of AI. Hope I am wrong. Zero Hour does have PVE (in the COOP menu). It feels a lot like a mix of a SWAT game with Rainbow Six, but it does all the problems you mentioned for SP Tarkov (it's also a Unity game). In many ways, it does not feel or look like a 2024 game, but the gameplay is quite engaging, and it's quite cheap. And now you also have Six Days In Falluja, but I haven't played that yet. Will try it next week

Great video! Plus, it's worth mentioning for Ready or Not that you have the option to play solo/no squad if you prefer.

Thank you - I feel if you play solo the game is not balanced around that. But then you could adjust some things with mods. But you are right, it is possible.

Ready or Not is a great game for solo playing if you use voiceattack to command the ai. The mod and maps are literally game breaking if the modders did not update/port to UE version 5.3, cant even start the game. So that brings the mod content down to a very small amount since most of the mods have not been updated for months on end.

I first hit the franchise with FC4, don´t get me wrong I love FC 4,5 and even ND (6 not so much). And I love some FC gameplay, but it would just not qualify as a tactical shooter.

I wanted GZW to be amazing and it just wasn't. I bought the supporter edition, so I'll revisit as they fine tune the game, but I've got almost 800 hours in EFT since getting it in February and it's by far the greatest FPS I've ever put hands on. To boot, I play with a Vader Pro 3 controller and my cell phone that has a mouse app with hot keys preset. I absolutely love it. I know some people hate it because of what BSG does, but you can't deny it's the most intense shooter out there.

EFT has it perks, it made the genre popular for a reason. Delta Force atm feels like the perfect evolution, with the exact amount of streamlining I want. And for the first time I now play a PvP game...although I treat it as a solo stealth game :-). I can´t wait for the PvE mode next year. And if you like EFT I highly recommend checking SP Tarkov out, if you enjoy a pure PvE experience.

You should try Stalker Gamma, it is a modpack for a modded stalker game. It feels very similar to spt tarkov just with a more hardcore survival skin.

Yeah, I know about it and already played STALKER2 (loved it). I think Gamma is a little bit to "old" for me, once a-life works I will give Stalker2 another go.

What's old about it? The Anomaly engine is pretty new.

Yeah i agree anomaly isnt really old, sure base anomaly feels “old” but gamma modpack gives it a fresh new paintjob and makes it look and feel better than even stalker 2 imo.

Yeah, 3rd-person and is it more a stealth game at heart then a shooter I think? But I got it on my wishlist...I want to let it cook for another 6 months before jumping into it.
