I like his point of having music production in your life while still holding down a job or going to school. I agree you gotta build your business off the back of someone else’s sometimes. Having that extra income will help you reinvest into your business and you will overall be less stressed. Not always the case for everyone but for most I feel that 24/7 beat grind will make you less efficient and over the long run will burn you out much faster than keeping a smaller dedicated amount of time to your craft in which you remain entirely focused. Especially when you think about the fact it took him 8 years of making music to get any recognition.

🔥🔥🔥 I got a call from a homie that’s doing film festivals being a screen writer. He working on an audiobook with a couple people and wanted me to do the score in it and sound fx like listening to a movie. He paid me half up front and going to pay the other half when it’s completely done. I told him to send me a clip of audio to work with so I can mess wit it to see if he’d like what I do to it. Sent it back to him same day. Replied to sending me the first half up front like he said. I told him it’s different from what I usually do but I took a crack at it. I was telling him it’s a niche thing I’ve never was asked to do but I felt it should be introduced to the producer community cause we always talk about improving our sound and finding out where the wave is going but never had I thought to try something out of the norm like that and I’m having fun with it. Goosebumps when Y’all mentioned that part. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Ok, in regards to the statement he made about going 70/30 on placements; I get that he's grateful to the drum programmer for the opportunity. BUT the music BUSINESS is cut throat, everyone is going to look out for themselves. You have to look out for yourself and do what in the best interest for you and your own music career. You can't assume anyone is going to look out for you. More importantly, if you listen to the finished track and take your loop out, in most cases, the track isn't the same. The artist was able to write to the track because YOUR sample/melody/loop is what made the track what it is. Without your sample it's just drums. If anything, that sample split should go YOUR way, but at the very least 50/50. There's a way to be humble and grateful, but assertive and strong. It's called the music BUSINESS for a reason.

Told y'all on instagram to start looking at production houses and sync houses! Start getting this commercial money and movie money, gaming money, mnemonic money, sound design money!!! 6.2 billion dollars in marketing and y'all chasing a rapper placement!!!! I get it because I ain't know any other route either. But now I can say got placements and relationships with Nike, Google, Netflix, Adult Swim, Apple, Reeses Puffs etc! and I ain't stopping! Working on doing sound design for films at the moment and voice-overs. Trust me everything in this interview is real and no shade or hate just gems to become better, beyond the music industry. Focus on the music business, there are so many outlets in this business. PRODUCERS GET YOUR MONEY! 6.2 BILLION IN MARKETING IN MARKETING!!! and all we need to survive is a couple 100k.

also that "CheRomani x BabyCartel x KashGlock x Sid Shyne x Destroy Lonely x Yung Kayo x Onlybino x Lancey Foux x Iayze x Zelly Ocho x OSMKAPO Type Beat" I can definitely see/hear a part of this being in a commercial or film! The best part about this side of the business there's a space for any and every kind of sound!
