I would advise Kril(Zammy)/General Graador(Bandos) main focus on DPS rotation, getting used to switching to Ring of vigour -> Twin furies (getting used to moving and still dealing DMG, at the end of their charge attack either using Resonance or surging/bladed diving away) -> Vindicta (main focus on using Resonance for ranged attack + counting her autoattacks) -> Helwyr (using Resonance + Devotion = try not using food) -> Arraxor (all the reasons mentioned in your video) -> Raksa (if you have someone to tank for you, than maybe learn to solo) -> Telos
@SaltSpirits Жыл бұрын
If you need a step between Helwyr and Arraxor, consider Vindicta. The mechanics there will help you get used to reacting to attacks with movement. which in turn should end up making the transition easier

I started my bossing like this: Barrows, king black dragon, bandos, queen black dragon, kalphite queen, arch glacor normal mode, and right now I'm trying to perfect vindicta. I enjoy vindy because her attacks are slow and forgiving, and still gives good gp on a rare drop. I used to use about 14 sharks per kill, but I've improved my prayer switches and gear perks that I only need 2-3 sharks per kill. I hope my progress with vindicta can be replicated with the more difficult bosses.

The reason i despise bossing, or even trying bossing on higher levels is the Tick system that is still in place, making you unable to respond to something as it happens, as it will be too late. Good video man but I personaly think I learned much more from vindicta than from helwyr... Reason being that you also get familiar eith some prayer flicking alongside with defensives, plus you get a minimal awearnes of where you are standing and such. Getting at least familiar eith prayer flucking is extremley helpful for arraxor, so I think vindy is the best gwd2 boss in terms of incresing your pvm skills. But great video nontheless 😜

@Turelle3 жыл бұрын
I think the amount of time it takes for you to get to Jad makes it not worth it. Imo missing a prayer flick there is actually more punishing than P4 Rax as it'll pretty much one shot you. I think P4 Rax is probably still the better place to learn prayer flicking as it's pretty consistent (if you're not in melee, she'll use whatever you're not praying against, can get a really nice rhythm going that makes it pretty laid back). That said, if you really want to learn prayer flicking, go to Raksha practice mode with cheap food. I think the hardest part of that fight is not missing a prayer switch and not the special attacks. Good place to learn SS flicking too.

I would argue that 0% telos is easier than Arraxi. Telos is a boss that really gets as difficult as you want it to be. I can do 0% telos with no food soulsplitting the entire time with revolution and missing every special attack. Its very very low hitting and even if you miss every special attack he does you'll probably get hit around 2k damage at most. There's only a few places that you can actually die (instakill on phase 4) but if you stand in the correct spot you won't die. It's much easier to start telos than people think if you practice and use a good guide. Don't let it scare you!

I love your videos and guides but I feel as though this specific video was a disservice to those who want to start pvm and tried or will try to follow your tips. The biggest thing I do in RuneScape is teach all levels of pvm and I think almost all of this advice, besides challenge yourself and try to learn to be better, is bad advice. You seem to be only talking about Max or close to Max players who want to start but not necessarily any level below that who wants to start bossing. Even if the entire video was for Max players with Max gear I think a lot of the advice was pretty bad in use. I understand bandos as a starting point as it is a dps dummy that you won’t lose money on but anyone who has ss and sunshine that can do it with the ease you described should skip bandos and probably try vindicta or something else entirely. Anyone with lower stats trying to learn more will still probably be able to do bandos but will not have everything you described to use in order to improve. Other than that I think the worst advice in the video is step two. Going to helwyr is not as described. It is not a “just sprinkle in some seasoning” type of boss if the player just came from bandos. It is a big jump and I don’t understand why most guides even rank The boss so high. This is a boss that will force you to reso and maybe freedom but other than that it’s a nightmare for learners to bossing. The jump to rax next is possibly even more bad than to helwyr. No matter what level you are, you should not be learning to prayer flick on the last phase of rax. Rax is a crazy goal for anyone who just came from understanding helwyr. I think you know this when you mentioned how people will be discouraged but they should stick to it and learn more. That is decent advice if death costs, supply costs, time wasted, and a more negative attitude towards pvm didn’t build up so fast. I would love to see more pvmers in the game and that’s what I spend my time doing even, but this is not the way to go about it. Overall there was good general advice about getting better but not in almost any way you mentioned. The idea to encourage new pvmers is great, but most would give it up completely if they followed this guide/suggestions.
@NuzzNuzz3 жыл бұрын
I understand what you're saying respect how you view it, but in my opinion the most important things to learning PVM at any level, whether you have t80s and subjugation, to nox staff and tectonic is, 1: DPS output and ability rotations, 2: Learning how to use defensives properly, 3: Learning how to move properly at bosses, and 4: Throwing yourself in the deep end and trying. I tried to fuse all those together for this video, ofcourse you can try different bosses here or there and replace helwyr with vindicta etc, but if you're looking for a boss as an inbetween stepping stone between bandos and say godwars 2 I'm not sure if theres much of an inbetween. I did show the road-map of bosses of course but my biggest point I tried to hit home are the 4 key points above.
@masengutormson20783 жыл бұрын
I do think those are all important things, I just think in the way presented people will be burnt out quick whether that’s gp or motivation. I know you clearly know what you are doing and enjoy pvm but to anyone who is hesitant to try and learn, this will be discouraging. Again that’s just what I see and I’m glad you are trying to encourage players to try new things. I learn a lot from your videos in general so I don’t mean to show any disrespect. Thank you for explaining your thought process even if we don’t agree on it all.
@NuzzNuzz3 жыл бұрын
I do agree with you that vindicta would be a good place to learn prayer flicking as well, I guess I haven't really done vindicta in awhile so I totally forgot about the pray flicking aspect. So that could be another place to go before arraxor.

@@alexguerra547 I've been using ranged, but I wanted to learn melee as well because my melee gear and weapon is better

I decided to try arraxor firts time 2 years ago, couldn't get a kill no matter how hard I tried for twoo fucking weeks... Than I gave up, than I my favourtitr boss became vindicta so I lerned some defensives and prayer switching, last year I went to arraxor again and wit just very very slightly better gear, upgraded from arnadyl to anima core of zamorak, weapon still wyvern cbow I got a kill on my first try... Now I have 3 arraxayte pets 😉 I can easily push to like 8 kills in a day no problem... Just don't give up... Keep trying and u will get it!!! If I can do it you can too, less than a year ago I couldn't kill rax, now I can solo elite dungeons 😜 It is not so much about gear is more about becoming better at pvm. And one thing that hellpsssss sooo sooo much for rax are ruby bacriminal bolts so make sure ro use crossbow. Is the easiest eay to learn him. Trust me. For learning I would suggest tier 80 crossbow wit ruby bacs rather that tier 90 melee or magic. Now I can do it with all styles but ranged is still by far the easiest.
