I have been playing a very similar build and swapping between sns and spear, but a super effective combo I found on the GS is a Skyward Slash to give them a poke, then Relentless Rush roots them in place and I straight away start a Crosscut on the rooted target... The root usually finishes in the middle of Crosscut and people want to dodge out of it as soon as they can. So about 80% of the time the third (and usually finishing) hit of Crosscut hits them just as they finish their dodge

Think aaabout dripping cross-cut for steadfast strike. It's large damage, gives you a heal and then puts you in defiance stance so you can absorb and counter attack or weapon swap if you need to keep the pressure up

@@planetg2125 that's what I use to use instead off crosscut, but I find it not as effective. I use medium Armour and I only use the Greatsword for a big damage combo. I use a Skyward into relentless for the root and then straight into a Crosscut. The root usually ends in the middle of Crosscut and people seem to always dodge away as soon as they can, but they don't realise that the third attack is still in range and I land the third strike 80% of the time which is usually a killing blow unless they are in heavy armour with lots of con. So the crosscut has just been so much more effective to dish out that big damage before switching back to sns or spear to reset. I can definately see the appeal in using it instead of Crosscut because that's what I originally ran, but because I don't "brawl" with the Greatsword I don't need the defence.

@@davc8938 I don't create content, but a quick overview of my build: I use almost all the Onslaught tree besides heavy blade, Giant Slayer and relentless refresh, which I swap for blade honing and unflinching blade in defiance tree. Spear I use skewer (with enfeebled perk on spear), sweep and vault kick. Invigorating crits, strong conditioning and merciless strength are must have passives for my build on zoner side, on impaler side the passives you need exposed wounds, aggressive maneuvers and the exploited weakness. Gambit on both weapons, medium Armour, must have weapon perks are enfeebling skewer, relentless freedom and leeching crosscut. I have resilience on everything and I like shirking heals because I am dodging constantly. I take very little damage and use mainly spear until I see an opening to land a Greatsword combo: Skyward to stagger, damage and put in onslaught stance > relentless rush to damage and root > crosscut to kill. Enemy will usually dodge straight after root so the second hit of Crosscut sometimes misses, but the third one lands for huge damage if you point it where their dodge will finish. Then back to spear to dodge and cc again and prepare to do it again lol

The reason not to take the shield rush options is because it has an extra animation and you can't chain rush-bash

I think the stats analyze was very poor. Very important to mantion is, that Joe plays light. In light especially when u use S&S 200 con perk does almost nothing. 60-80 armor in compare of dmg u can get from other stat. Also there is diminishing return for stats so the best dmg outcome in this case because both weapons scales from str and dex. Is 200str+150dex, this is also the best for players who dont have hearty in ring and want the 3th roll, they can use easly farmable named ring HEART of HEKA for extra slash dmg. Please take this as constructive criticism. I like the videos, u have many vies, but if u wanna be informative about the build, it good the make more effort in analizes.

same kind of build light gear is nearly BIS not fully there tho, i run 200 con , 155 str , 150 dex... would u recommend going 110 con and then add buff food to get 150 ? i do like my build i feel its pretty balanced but if get caught in group will get rekt but i think thats the case for most builds anyway so would less con not be more squishier than i already am and that 200 str perk isnt really a massive bonus ? ... dooms chance + laget's ring

you can respec attributes and you’ll find new gear if you’re only 35. all you have to do is level the weapons you want
