Thank you so much, Dr. PB. I was having difficulty reading/interpreting the EFM strip. Thanks to your lecture I now understand it can clearly and can read the strip accurately! I am actually preparing for step 2, and I am finding your videos to be one of the best and elaborate lectures for enhanced learning.

thanks. having a baby in july and asked my midwife the top reasons for emergency c section so i could research before hand, she said fetal distress was top reason for her and that is doesn't happen often. i was having a hard time finding anything that wasn't just a tiny article of short explanation of fetal distress so this was really helpful.

what if there was an utero-placental insufficiency that results in a late deceleration but at the sime time vagal stimulus due to uterine contractions? i mean, why don't we see deceleration due to vagal stimulus in late deceleration?

My FP residency is so bad...none of this is taught at all, it was assumed that we knew it. I learned nothing from staff except which staff to stay away from. Wish they would Stop focusing so much on who you like and don't like, and how to mess over people in residencies vs teaching. We are there to learn, not work with staff that are interested in ruining people's careers or picking out who they don't like.
