The ones with the massive plumes of swirling dust in the background remind me of the tornado scene from "Places In the Heart" where Sally Field is slowly running against gail force winds in a plowed field. Others remind me of "Raise the Red Lantern" where the old woman is desperatly running on train tracks in a storm with a lantern to try and warn an uncoming train that a bridge is out.

I'm just now realizing that in addition to the walking animation, the format for this challenge also included a large circular shape in the background. I'm embarrassed to admit it took me this long to notice, but now I'm really enjoying the different interpretations every artist used, and how a lot of them were done with negative space!

Depends on the person and the performance of their machine. Some opt to build their own materials (textures) while others choose to use purchased packs. Same is true for the environmental lighting. Some will properly retopologize while others decimate. Some won't dare sacrifice realism for render times while others choose to eliminate it all together and go with cartoon type shaders and simple lighting. So on and so forth. One could accomplish what is requested in as little as 10 hours if it's not a "scratch build" - meaning that models and material are already available and would provide no more than a weeks work (+/-50 hours) to complete a task such as this from scratch.

@spambot92063 жыл бұрын
Hiring 200 of these guys is too expensive for them
@youreapoopiepants92783 жыл бұрын
Because it’s not a matter of the effort put into it, it’s the idea, boss baby was centered around a baby who’s also really smart, because of this, the animation has to reflect the childish adventures in it, to make it better for the children audience. In animating a movie, the animation has to fit the movie itself, These are amazing, talented productions though, yeah
@tiagoandradedeoliveira31293 жыл бұрын
there are two sad reasons, first, movies like boss baby five more profit, cuz costs less hits a lot of public(kid and the kids parents). Second, ita takes sooo long to make great animations, remember that each one of this images was like, 6 seconds.
