I just repaired one that looked very similar, must've been a revision change. The output from the transformer was 24v. Those two little resisters you mentioned were 5watt and raised off the board. The bad components were the six 2200uf capacitors, they were all bloated and leaking. There was also quite a few resisters that were burnt but still within specs. I came to watch you video to find out how the fan worked. Thanks for the info about it only turning on when the unit sensed a certain load. I'm hoping that how this one works, because the fan doesnt seem to turn on. I only have one set of speakers hooked up, so not much load.

yeah, I state that but I think I was wrong, I remember that fan turning on eventually so there might be a thermal feedback somewhere after all (or maybe I'm thinking of another amp, not sure). Congrats on the fix :)

I have the PTA44BT. The display wont turn on. The unit does some sort of clicking sound once and thats it. Its brand new. I opened it and nothing seems to be damaged or burnt.

the clicking is usually the sign of short on the output stage (or faulty speaker is connected). no display is likely a separate issue. Check the output stage for shorts, confirm you have 5V going to logic, should be regulated by 7805.

yes, this amp can drive those speakers. Theoretically you can connect 6 of those without overpowering the amp.

of course, however, it has only one input so the volume on each speaker will still be controlled by the Pyle device if that still works for you.

probably, but it would be better to just break the trace and route the supply voltage via the regulator imo
