***I ended up spreading all of the rock speakers out a little more. Now the setup sounds amazing. We keep the volume at fairly low levels so we don't disturb the neighbors. Because of the speaker placement and low volume levels, the music can be heard throughout the yard and it sounds like the music is in the air... Sort of like being in a mall or department store. PYLE is a budget brand when it comes to audio equipment and I would NEVER put their amps in a car, mid-range speakers... maybe, but for this setup, they had exactly what I wanted at the price I was willing to pay for the circumstance. I did not use special wires, just 16 gauge speaker wire and conduit for hiding them under the soil. Get it here... i bought the same thing prior to watching your video. still on it's way. You can add more audiocasts (chromecast) to control individual zones independently.so each zone would have a chromecast as an input. smart control and zone adjustable from voice control. extra equipment needed but you get the idea.

Fyi proper setup would be 1 speaker per channel. Its 100 watt per channel. You are only getting power from 3 channels to 6 speakers, so you are only using half the potential wattage of the amp. You may not need the additional wattage, but the amp is working harder then it needs to. My 2 cents. Nice yard!
@sadietp23624 жыл бұрын
If I need to have 12 speakers with 6 channels installed throughout my property. Some speakers would be as far as 500 feet from the receiver. What speakers, receiver and wire do you recommend? The speakers would be like the 2 you have on your patio.
@NewStuffTV14 жыл бұрын
I actually think this would still be a good selection. I have no idea what brand or model the speakers on my patio are, but if you just want a clear & balanced sound playing throughout, this would be good. Also... 14 or 16 gage wires should be fine as long as you protect it.

Definitely a sweet setup man. Looking to do six speakers kind of the same way in my yard with a pool. As far as keeping the amp outside on the patio I'd like it to be a permanent fixture and not have to move it all the time. So I was wondering about on really wet days or cold days or extremely hot days Is there anything that you do to protect the amp from the different air temperature changes moisture and all that I'd hate for it to get ruined because I didn't take it inside before a big storm hit or something. Also I'm assuming that I would have to dig a little trenches in the yard to bury the speaker wire correct? Any advice on this would help thanks a lot for the great video man. Your yard looks and sounds awesome! 😊

I never knew that there was such a thing as rock speakers. I sit out old school with a ghetto blaster! Here in Scotland it's a hit or a miss in the summer time. I would definitely like to do the rock speakers job though , you could give some stray cat the shits when it comes strutting around the garden about to do a piss then "welcome to the jungle" comes blasting from the rocks! Woosh that cat would definitely shit itself!

That's cool, I never knew they made rock speakers, lol. How's the new Pyle holding up after a couple years? A lot of people say Pyle stuff is a pile of you know what, but I have no personal experience with them. I'm looking for something to replace my 23 year old trusted Aiwa that recently shit on me. It used to rock the house down with only speakers in all 4 corners of the garage and 2 surrounds in the middle on each side. It was almost 400 watts total output. I do like that Pyle also gives you the karaoke option like my old Aiwa had. I only occasionally listen to the radio and mostly use a receiver to plug into my laptop to enjoy YT vids in surround and also music.

I have a silly question: can I use a 4conductor direct burial audio cable for lights on the yard? I friend gave me about 200ft and what I need it for is lights. Is a 14awg 4 cond. I'd appreciate any imput. Thanks
@nickloss2377 Жыл бұрын
for short runs, probably would be fine. But anything longer than a few feet, I wouldn't. even though copper is copper, and electricity is just electricity.. audio cable topology can vary from that of general power cabling. especially without door rated cables, the audio cable may have additional insulation or might even follow certain audio design principles like star-quad configuration, twisted pair etc. these are ways of configuring internal conductors to reject noise and minimize RF interference from contaminating your signal chain. I'm an audio engineer, so I can only speak from the audio perspective. I have a passing knowledge of wiring for lighting and LEDs and I do know that they require a far less complex configuration..... low voltage LED maybe work fine with audio cabling, but with any significant length of cables you would need power injection as there is a voltage drop that is noticeable in light output.. you wouldn't want to use audio-rated cables for that.. it would be prudent to stick with power rated cables for that because audio cables can (should) only conduct audio signals which is comparatively low voltage than anything requiring full on power. in other words you might melt some conductors, or possibly start a fire. The prudent course would be to keep the audio cables for audio and get the proper rated outdoor burial cables that would handle AC or DC for your lighting system.. also audio cables are just gigantic antennas so keeping the power cables separate from cables conducting audio signals helps reduce crosstalk and will lead to better audio.

Great video. How would you rate the sound quality of the speakers and amp?
@NewStuffTV14 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The amp puts out plenty of clean power to all 6 speakers. The "rock" speakers have a clean dynamic sound but do not produce a lot of bass. This makes them great for outdoor ambient music. They are not party speakers.

You can only run 6 speakers on there that's only a 100 W per channel. And I seriously doubt that it's that high. I'm going out on a lim and say maybe 60 per channel if you're lucky. Even 60 W per channel isn't bad. But are those speakers forum or adom most likely they're. Because if you run in 4 AM and all of those speakers would break that amp down below 2 on. By seriously doubt that amplifier is set up to go down to 2 homes.
