Might seem like a little much, but for a universe where stars are usually a good thing (Not counting the Z-Star or The Cobalt Star) The Dark Star is actually a REALLY good villain, at least I always thought so. He doesn't even need to say anything to come off as threatening, or powerful, you just KNOW that's what he is.

I think this music shows the Dark Star’s personality, especially 0:59 The violins make everything more intense, but the way the song hits the player is completely different. If Mario and Luigi fail to defeat the dark star, Bowser will become Dark Bowser, with no normal Bowser to defeat it. Princess Peach either dies or just becomes a slave, while the whole world is taken over by the Dark star. Mario and Luigi have the entire fate of the world in their hands, since Dark Star is going to get stronger. (Cough cough dark bowser cough cough) I wonder why violins make everything intense.

@@pef_v6107 I never liked in the original how inconsistent it was getting excellents on Solo attacks, or how blowing into the mic for Giant Bowser's flame didn't want to work, or how Gauntlet fights didn't give you equipment, or how you could only have one badge effect ready to use at a time, or how the tutorial battle with Bowser took 10 turns, or how the Dark Star and Fawful despite being the game's main antagonists didn't have unique battle music, and more.

There were SOME things I hated though, like how some boss attacks were nerfed to oblivion, and some of the charm being gone (meaning certain voiceclips being absent like the Luigi fake-sick scream). Other than that, the remake is wonderful. I don't even care about how weird Bowser looks.

I think they did it because all of the Gauntlet Bosses are fought in what looks like a Boxing Ring, whereas in Dream Team, each boss was refought in their original locations. It's still dumb considering that Antasma X keeps his unique theme though.

Solo attacks have better timing, Bowser has separate SP restoring items, Gauntlet battles give you equipment, you can refight Giant bosses, you don't need to blow into the mic for fire, there's beans for every stat, and more.
