Pyp / Pypar | Game Of Thrones Missing Book Characters | House Of The Dragon Lore

The nights watch in Game Of Thrones is a really good example of some of the diffucult choices writers have to make when adapting books to screen, none more so that a world the size of A Song Of Ice And Fire. We have characters who were totaly cut from the show like Donal Noye and others whom were there in name only. You then have characters who did make it into Game Of Thrones only to have there're story cut short being killed off when they are alive in the books. Pyp, one of Jon Snow's closest friends is a really good example of this when he was killed during the battle for the wall in season 4 but in the books is still very much alive. But not all changes like this bad and some serve the story very well so in this video we will take a look at Pyp's role in the book and see if his book death brings anything to the story.

The Dance Of The Dragons will be the focus of the plot of the new HBO spin-off House Of The Dragon coming in 2022. Game Of Thrones / House of the dragon are HBO shows based on George R R Martin's A Song Of Ice And Fire series. Pyp the mummer is also from the same place Arya goes while she is on the run-Acorn Hall. That story hits a bit different now once you realize that is Pyp. And his name-he is not the only character with a name that is still his name backwards. Alleras-Sarella. Nan. There are more...but these characters who have these type of names do/make crazy things for the storyline.

i think the Pyp acorn hall thing is a show invention, where he's a singer, rather than a mummer, replaced him with Dareon for that short scene.
