Great design! It’s hard to tell in the video but it looks like the mirror is reflecting the cherry of the rabbet. I was taught a long time ago when doing a mirror to stain or paint rabbet the same color as the frame.

Works really well! What a great piece... please tell me you have some decent fire detectors in your house? I feel like nearly everything in there is a piece of your artful hard work. I wonder if it would have been possible to make the inner edge a circle? Not a criticism at all, just wondering if it would have looked good with the hexagonal outer shape. Brilliant as ever.

You should cut more efficiently, use the angle cut on one piece to be the angle of the next. Cut "triangles" of the ebony prior to gluing. Don't waste so much wood. Looks good.
