Your using the chisel the wrong way. Should be reversed. Also a mallet is better. Thanks for your set up ideas.

I've been following you for 10 years. I want to thank you for your innovative artistic design. No other wood worker on KZbin is doing it as well. Your tables are always a masterpiece. The door was a revelation. I "borrowed" one of your segmented vase designs to make an urn for my father's ashes. The production of it helped me with his passing.Thank you for making content worth watching. Please keep up the amazing work.

Can you send me the type of square metal tubing and casters you used? I am wanting to do double sliding bookcases in a doorway.

I guess if you wanted black vases they are very nice. But what a wonderful way to ruin some beautiful wood. Look how nice the inside is.

Dyed black… Any sealer over the ink? Or final lite sanding after the ink (any raised grain?)? Good either way.
@WoodByToth5 ай бұрын
I used a piece of white paper after the ink dyed to knock down any burs. Then sprayed a few coats of lacquer over the ink

I feel like wood turning would be therapeutic. Well, to me anyway.
@buffalojones3415 ай бұрын
it is. Square wood projects with plans and tight measurements can be stressful. Usually there is much more leeway in turning.

The distictly Toth form. Looks very cool! India ink makes a shockingly good dye. Always a pleasure to see a video from you. Thanks for sharing!

Is the black dye the same as black wood stain? I'm getting ready to stain a piece I'm working on and I want it black black. Just want to see the wood grain. Wondering now if I should et dye instead of stain.
@WoodByToth5 ай бұрын
This is india ink. Its very potent. A stain will work just fine but it may take a few coats to get the look you want. I like the look of dye or Ink more in this case

You do work, but you’re killing me with using your table saw with at least a riving knife, or a push stick. I do wood working also. These machines don’t care if it’s wood or your hand. I try to be a good example for someone just starting out who watches me build or sees my tools. Just saying you do you, but it would be hard to do what you do without a hand.
