Is this method waterproof? Would it be okay to do on a coffee mug?

Wow. I’m looking for wine bar cabinets on Black Friday 2024 and I came across this because I googled build a wine bar cabinet for ideas. This thing looks awesome, I love the details, I wish I had those tools and the know how to do this, I see this is an older video, If the creator sells these I’d love inquire about a price.

Feel free to ignore my question in an earlier video. :) At that point, I thought you were a geometry sorcerer.

I've needed a solution like this to elevate my tailstock (only). I want to create an eccentric sanding arrangement to flatten glued-up layers for segmented turning. I settled on a dedicated faceplate to turn an off-center mounted sanding disc. My solution works ok, but it introduces a lot of wobble/vibration. I may try this as an alternate approach.

Do you have a setup template to get the precise angle required for your segments to close?

I decided to stop by my old friend Kyle's KZbin channel to see what he has been up to. This time I arrive not just as a fan, but as a novice wood turner. I've decided to watch from the oldest to newest videos and I just learned a flattening jig can be a good alternative to a turned bottom on a large bowl. Hope to see more new content Kyle; maybe a series focused on turning techniques?

Your using the chisel the wrong way. Should be reversed. Also a mallet is better. Thanks for your set up ideas.

I've been following you for 10 years. I want to thank you for your innovative artistic design. No other wood worker on KZbin is doing it as well. Your tables are always a masterpiece. The door was a revelation. I "borrowed" one of your segmented vase designs to make an urn for my father's ashes. The production of it helped me with his passing.Thank you for making content worth watching. Please keep up the amazing work.

Dyed black… Any sealer over the ink? Or final lite sanding after the ink (any raised grain?)? Good either way.

I used a piece of white paper after the ink dyed to knock down any burs. Then sprayed a few coats of lacquer over the ink

@buffalojones3419 ай бұрын
it is. Square wood projects with plans and tight measurements can be stressful. Usually there is much more leeway in turning.
