Pyrenees Tour Day 3 (May 2023)

Cor be careful in them tunnels! 😲 I've experienced similar, really quite scary. The colour of the water is incredible at the reservoirs, is hard to beat riding through the gorges too! That tunnel was like going to Narnia with it switching from not snow to snow! Lucky save re the drone 😲 Hope the hotel had rooms? 😀

Superb video, you’ve captured the magic of the Pyrenees That particular tunnel where you almost hit the wall has caused a few deaths of the years, 2 French riders in 2022, rip, the local municipality sadly don’t want to spend the money on lighting even though its desperately needed in that spot. On a lighter note, with regards to your Garmin, do you run the standard Topo maps that are included or did your purchase more detailed maps, do you have a gpx file of your adventure? Keep the videos coming

I was in the Pyrenees in late April/early May with an old friend. We were luckier with the weather than you were a couple of weeks later as except for the heavy rain on the French side the day that I arrived we had dry roads and sunshine throughout. The only closed road that I experienced was timetabled to open a couple of days later on the 1st May anyway. Lovely roads and great scenery.

Hey mate. Thanks for watching. Some snow and ice made it a little tricky but steady as she goes and all was ok. I have ridden in worse. Day 4, more snow and a nutter with no gloves on riding through snow, thats to come. Cheers Billy

Nice video, however it would be nice if you could flash up on the video the various locations you visited. One shot of you both next to a lovely lake in the snow, where is that for instance?

Hi Mark. Thanks for watching and your question. The main reason for not advertising the locations is that I did an extensive amount of research for this trip and I am planning to begin tours for this route in 2025. I was hoping to start this year but it has not worked out that way. Cheers. Billy
