DeDastoss You can literally just buy everything in the game and keep trading apartments or what have you and then tell rockstar what happened, or just quit the application if you start to receive money drops, GTA isn't constantly saving and I doubt a modder can give you billions or even millions in the time it takes you to exit the game. It may be dumb but it would be very easy to not get taken down because somebody else gave you money.

Had a modder in a car meet once, was actually pretty nice. I got banned a month ago. Got some modded money (not ridiculous amount of money) but Rockstar itself said that modded money won't get you banned unless you mod yourself money or give modded money to someone else. Idk what the reason was for the ban.

Back in 2014 I owned GTAIV on console and I saw a lobby of like 6 modders and we all hung out in the airport while there was some like neon colored cars, big group of players with modders and only a few did PvP. Good time. The biggest I ever noticed a modder in gta online be was trap me in a place, or teleport to kill me with a jet

I used to be an admin of a certain mod menu, it's taken down and a law suit knocked on our door... I can tell for a fact that banning players is still possible, our mod menu had it locked down for admins only (we tried it once on our own account). Especially banning people gives red flags which is why mod menu's don't have it, they would still be able to tho.

Once I and my pal were playing GTA 5 and after we did a drag race with some other friendly players at the airport, a modder joined, spawned a flying schoolbus that changed colors and we would just go on from area to area picking up players, flying around the map and having a laugh in chat. That was probably one of my best experiences in gaming as a whole :D

I'm also a modder, i see helping people and messing with tryhards my objective. I normally also try to enchance the player experience giving them access to chat commands or/and gift then vehicles. Money Drops aren't 100% safe of course there is always a risk of getting banned doing those type of things so... Be safe out there and have fun!
