Yes it does, it need it badly. But then again the game is still under construction so there is no reason to lose any sleep over it until its done. New gameplay loops is not a priority over making the game run less bad and when they do release some i really hope that it is not something half done, so they dont have to redo it 3-4 times as they use to do.

Awesome guide. I'd strongly advise nobody selects anything in Pyro as their actual starting location though. Unless you want to have to deal with 380 players all loading onto a single dgs that can barely handle 100 players in Live, because they all want to check out Pyro. Choose Stanton and then make your way to Pyro after the flood of people spawning into the stations has finally chilled out.

Near Stanton Gateway at PYR6 L3 is a station you can refuel at, that has a large enough hangar to accommodate a Carrack. They also sell Rail Guns.

L locations are Legrange Points. Gravitationaly neutral areas in space created by large masses (sun and planet for instance) which is why debris, rocks, and gasses would accumulate there and tend to not fall into a gravitational well.

I started to watch this, feeling reluctant, and after 30 seconds I bugged out. Not for me. Here's why, a while back I got sick to death of content creators on youtube spoiling my game play by feeling the need to tell me how to do everything, telling every damn secret the game has because they got there first, because they play ptu 10 hours a day, whatever. Now I love most of your videos because they are usually interesting funny takes and wacky twists on gameplay. A refreshing break from the spoiler videos everyone else makes. But this? Nope. Its like the guy who tells you the ending of every movie in theaters. So no thanks. I will discover Pyro all by myself. Thats the fun of playing. Dont spoil every mystery. I feel like the dust clouds around jumppoints aren't nebula, aren't the smallest nebula like...0.1 Light YEAR wide? They are traditionally massive structures. Jumppoints are like, moon sized clouds.

ArcCorp to MT is 59Gm which is way more, and Crusader to Hurston is 32Gm, so Pyro planet to planet is actually smaller and better for smaller size ships

I believe the way they’re making it hard to refuel anywhere is by not allowing access to every stop due to reputation. So most likely once you pick a gang, there’s only 1/3 of the system you are able to refuel.

Do the distances not change as the planets/stations orbit meaning at different times different ones are closer to the stanton jumpgate??

The planets and stations do not actually progress in their orbits and remain stationary. The planets do rotate, and I know at least in Stanton each landing zone's corresponding station (i.e. New Babbage & Port Tressler) rotates with the planet, so its always somewhere overhead of the landing zones

So logical speaking the carrick can travel over 500x the speed of light based on the distance and time it would take from 1 planet to the other those are wild speeds even for a sifi game

Uh well...the fastest qt drive in the game is still a bit under the speed of light actually, its the system that isnt 1/1 in terms of scale, 1/8th for planets, probably bit larger for distances, thats why even the longest jump in the video was only 100 million kilometers But yeah the carrack isnt that fast xD

Disagree. I hope the gangs not just deny you service but that gaining faction with one gang loses you faction with the others. This will ensure you can only have one gang access. This will keep pyro feeling larger instead of creating a mandatory rep grind to make pyro seem normal. It also will make base building more useful, starfarers and exploration ships more useful. We don't want everything on the other side of grinds, we want bifurcating dynamic choices with the freedom to revisit and change them but that makes our choice at the time feel consequential. What you give up gives value to what you choose.

The one time I managed to get to Pyro through the slideshow that was the jump gate, I was locked at 4fps the whole time lol. Never got over 20 FPS from the moment I woke up in Lorville. 4.0 wave one is pretty much unplayable for me. This is concerning as well because performance in live is at least 40% degraded over normal, PTU is maybe five or 10% better and 4.0 is just broken. IAE is going to be the biggest disaster we've ever seen at this event, and that's saying something.

Wave 1 always has bad performance. I remember trying wave 1 for 3.24 and it was horrible. Once it hit live i was getting 3x fps. Ptu has more systems/monitoring in the background for data. Live will be better.

Yet as much as i luv Star Citizen.....kinda no chance after 20th, yet CIG have done up proud with PYRO/4.0, and now the patch is Iin a very playable state, now everyone has gone back to work, us lucky ones have Pyro to ourselves. Idk what salt mine your living in, but pyro is fuckin beautiful. The planets are exceptional. Beautiful design, the PVP is amazing, in derelict stations and in asteroid stations and in space, and even without all missions, mining, salvage, and hauling is very profitable. And we are just in the beginning. Sfps with server meshing is amazing. Game is smooth as butter now. Even just exploring, flying around the system is an awesome experience. Might wanna play a different game if you can't appreciate it in it's current state.

You should try to actually understand the most basic idea of what this game actually is. Everyone that thinks it's a scam doesn't understand the massive effort in tech it took to just make the seamless persistent universe, let alone putting everything like this online, there's real time travel, no loading screens, millions of completely physicalized entities, complex flight physics, and more. The complexity of this project far outweighs anything else. Think about it a little more before reducing yourself to a Scam preacher.
