Great job as always. I wanted to make a trip up for your Christmas Spectacular, but we had our big Christmas event the next day, and my kids had plans in different directions on Saturday. I was able to watch a little bit on Christmas morning, but I need to go finish it. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Ryland do you all have a licensed pyro person on staff to operate the cold spark fountains? I hear those require licensed technicians. Where do you all rent them from, is it a local vendor?

Our local rental house did not tell us we have to be licensed, they are super professional and do huge stuff so I trust them. I do believe cold sparks get debate on license stuff though 🤷🏼‍♂️

I believe it’s venue/ state specific, I work at a convention center in Kansas and groups have to have special permission and I believe either a firefighter or licensed pyrotechnician on site to use them.

Amen to all you have said Brother. I work in Hollywood and know the worlds view of entertainment very well. We as Christians MUST strive to do our very best - eternal lives are at stake! Ha, I personally think flying drummers should have been left on the table - the whole "drummer boy" is a fabricated 40's song that maybe should not be perpetuated. We do need to be careful to Not add anything to the all ready incredible story of our savior coming earth - the "world" has enough trouble swallowing that truth. God bless you in this coming year!

The church was never meant to be "the leader of Art". "Church" is something Jesus never even talked about. What Jesus did, was having communion with his disciples. Spending time in his presence. So the closest we can get to the teachings of the bible is to invite some Friends and neighbours over to have quality time with Jesus. That's it. Everything more than that is "made up", so to say. Sure, you can do more. But telling people that "We are meant to do the best - the greatest we can - spectacular" is just a lie. Don't get me wrong, I am not against big shows to celebrate Jesus. But what is wrong especially on christmas, is that christians don't even feel shame for slowly taking Jesus more and more out of Focus and instead feed unbelievers what they want to see on christmas just to lur them in. Not even seeing that this is actually quite unchristian behavior. It's missleading. They'd do anything by arguing "it's all for christ" or "As long as it's for the glory of christ". The thing is, just because you do something for God, doesn't mean you are doing Gods work. Doing big Lightshow for Jesus? No harm. But setting up thousands of dollars costs for Lighting for a guy dressed in a Grinch costume just to lur in people? That's wrong. ;)

curious how you feel about HVAC in church? man made? yup. essential? in the american church? pretty much. cost thousands of dollars? you better believe it. point being, just because it wasn't in the Scriptures doesn't make it off limits? i think Paul would green light grinches if it meant someone was hearing the Gospel. because that's the point right?
