As an alcoholic something to note about the psychosis is that it’s not necessarily alcohol induced and it’s more about lack of sleep and cortisol levels Essentially alcohol prevents you from having proper sleep and more importantly dream sleep, so you end up dreaming in your waking hours to compensate and can become delusional, paranoid and see and hear things that aren’t there On top of this you’re extremely tired and emotional due to the lack of sleep but cannot sleep because you’re so stimulated and anxious It’s actually pretty scary

On one of the more recent streams he got a call from his grandma and the leach Mr Based put the camera up behind josh to record the conversation. Pretty much Josh was almost crying saying he wants to quit drinking and he doesn't want to die and his grandma keeps trying to get him to come home that night, he randomly just hangs up on her and tells her to shut up. A little later when they leave where they left where they were at, Mr Based tells Josh that for the rest of the stream he's not going to let him drink and Josh starts pleading saying its fine and that he's not that intoxicated, and he makes Mr Based promise him a twisted tea. Josh then gets even more blackout drunk and Mr Based lets him leave in an uber to go to a bar. Can't make this shit up.

Fun fact as someone who had a drinking problem in my early 20’s: alcohol and sugar both work on the dopamine receptors. It’s actually very common for ex-alcoholics to become absolute sugar fiends. When I first started trying to dial back my consumption, I would straight up become a vacuum for candy. Like I simply could not stop. The fact that Josh was steam rolling those dum-dum’s just goes to show how off kilter his reward centers are. As someone who has been following Josh for years at this point, It really really breaks my heart to see this happen. I wish somebody would help him + get him away from these toxic freaks

I'm a recovered alcoholic and that stuff is the fucking devil if it gets its grips into you. The first 3 months after stopping were extremely difficult, I would get daily panic attacks or wake up to a panic attack at 4 in the morning as I was sleeping. Over .3 is the start of alcohol poisoning. That is where the lethality starts. Saying "over .4" is lethal is like saying two gunshots in the head is lethal vs one. Okay so I used to be an alcoholic the type where you drink to pass out not the type to need to drink everyday. So, about seven years ago when I was 24 I drank so much that I had an alcohol bac of .515. I had drank a handle of vodka and passed out hit my head and went into a coma and stopped breathing. My mom thankfully saw this happen and called the police I went to the hospital and was put under for two days. I saw that as a wake up call and stopped drinking. I didn’t drank a lot already but now I just don’t do it all. I feel for this man and what bothers me is that alcohol is legal and we see what it does to people yet even if you get caught doing this they don’t make it to where you’re not allowed to do buy anymore or if caught drinking again you go to jail. They only do that if you drink and drive which I understand but if you do drugs that’s bad because it could kill you but so does alcohol. Alcohol kills more people then drugs do and even if you mad drugs legal doesn’t mean everyone is going run out and get high. Just like when they made weed legal people didn’t go out and start smoking I mean yeah many did but people who already smoked. I’m just saying alcohol is bad yet the government and people love it so much that of course they’ll keep it legal but if they made drugs legal they could tax the hell out of it and make so much money and I only say this because alcohol is just as bad if not worse and I think it’s ironic that they say drugs are bad yet alcohol isn’t.

17:05 I'm a recovering addict, and if you watch certain documentaries about kensington or other open air drug market places in america. The one thing addicts will say they lean towards (me included when I was using) is sugar, notably ice cream. Icecream trucks will always be driving around Kensington knowing that addicts that can't afford their fix, will gravitate towards sugar. It's trading one addiction for another, just to get a mild satisfaction, even though one is obviously loads safer than the other, you are 100% correct on that statement.

It’s sad seeing this. As someone who was ready to die because of alcohol, this guy needs a court order for rehab. It fucking sucks being forced to put the bottle down, but if I wasn’t forced I’d be dead. He’s in bad shape and it’s just going to get worse really quick 😟

This makes me very sad but, literally if people wanna help Joshua like REALLY help him. they would have to take him out of NYC due to the NYC + NJ Area is TERRIBLE for getting help with Mental Health. 90% of the time the therapists or just places that say they will help your Mental Health are just after your money, or cant help your situation The same also applies with services that protect Adults and Children in the area of NYC and NJ, unless Joshua is being whipped, hit or abused PHYSCIAL there's a 89% chance he wont be taken by cops (or the protective services) to a assisted living facility for the mentally disabled.

I think the only way for you to slowly get off of alcohol in rehab is they have to give you a bottle and slowly work down. Because I think if you go cold turkey it’s not a great experience and even some people died from it too.. it’s a sad reality of Josh.
