Hi Richy, I just love your portrait work! You do them so well and it is so see to tell that you enjoy doing portraits. If this is a gift, your brother and sister-in-law are extremely fortunately!

Hi Brenda, Thank you so much. Yes, it's a gift. Another one of those projects I wanted to do for some time and now that I moved to Finland decided to give it personally. Wish you a great week.

That's quite the move! The artwork turned out wonderfully and it will be extra special that it is handcrafted and personally delivered! Wishing you a great week too and hope you really enjoy your new home and being closer to family.

Hello Richie! Amazing videos! I'm beginning and tried to watch your evolution from the very first project. I noticed you've had a lot of woodburners. Would you eventually tell us witch they are and why you changed so often? I know it would take some of your time to answer but it would be so helpfull... it's such a waste of money to buy the wrong one...

Hi Stephanie. Thank you so much for watching my videos. You're right regarding wrong choices of woodburners. I've made some that I would've gladly skipped. To start I would definitely recommend a 2 temperature, solid tip woodburner. Just because I believe it can be a waste of money to invest in something you don't know yet if you're gonna like or work for you. I wouldn't go for the single temperature version. That is one of the mistakes I would've avoided. It's hard to control the temperature. Regarding the wire tip machines, from the ones I've tried, Optima 1 is definitely the best and cheaper one. Razertip gave me heating problems and is very expensive and Brenn has a very short temperature window to work with, a very stiff wire, short pens and is too expensive for the quality it has. Hope this helps and have fun. Good work.

@@richypyrography Thank you very much for answering. I already have a one temperature burner that I bought at Lidl when I didn't know anything about pyrography. I never used it and I'm just discovering all the possibilities now by watching videos and making first tries. I live in France, and I'm just dreaming about buying an Optima or a Colwood pro 2 but if I want a few tips to go with it It will cost apromatively 300 euros.... totally above my possibilities actually. A solid tip burner with temperature variations and shading tips would be nice but I'm scared about the chinese ones on Amazon and none of these are sold in France. I'm so sad the Brenn Peter Junior seems the only choice for a 100 euros budget actually...

@@stephaniepicot5189 I understand. The Colwood machines seem to be a very good option but, like you said, very expensive. The Optima, in my opinion is the best in quality/price. I wouldn't go for the Brenner either. For that amount you can buy the Optima. I have the single burner and it is enough. It already brings one pen at your choice and one cord. If you order, for example, two more pens, I believe you'll be ready to start your new adventure. Ask for other people's opinion and, if you decide to get the Optima, don't forget to order the 220V machine and include customs fee (around €50) in your budget. You also have the Peter Child machine from the UK but I never tried it so can't give any advice. I believe it only uses interchangeable tips. I don't have a good experience with those, unfortunately.

@@richypyrography I've been counting and counting again... and saddly the optima, because of the custom fees and the shipping, is not an option for me now. I might have it latern an then order several tips with it to avoid fees anytime I need a new one. I't good to have a dream anyway! I'll do my best with what I have! Thank you so much for answering me. I'm impatient to see your next project.
