Great content!!! the "87.5% off" caught my eye, as a very, very small way to show some appreciation. Udemy seems to have them at a 50% off discount - is there some code I would use to get the larger discount? I was only interested in the Python course, but I was going to get both at the incredible price. Thanks again!

Awesome video as always, Derek. Some of these cells may not work right because of missing libraries or other issues like missing SSL certs. Beginner users beware: You may have to do some troubleshooting.

Nicely done. I already knew this stuff (major in CS and Philo). Learning wasn't hard, finding a job is harder. Personally still haven't got a CS job. Almost every position wants 5 years experience.

I’m sorry you are having trouble finding a job. I actually fell into my work many years ago. I started making online stores and then when I saw how much money people were losing because of poor inventory management I started applying data science and then machine learning and accidentally became an inventory analyst. Life has a strange way of working out for people that keep at it I promise. I’m sure it will do the same for you. I wish you all the best.

@@derekbanas are you still an inventory analyst ? I know you have been in this field for a very long time.

Hey Derek, I really love the efforts that you're making. I just had a question and would absolutely love it if you could be kind enough to answer it. The question is: How do I go about learning machine learning? See the situation is, I am a first year undergraduate who knows C/C++. Right now I'm trying to learn Data Structures and Algorithms, I am doing Competitive Programming. I asked a friend of my brother's - who is a machine learning engineer at Samsung headquarters - to recommend me a trajectory for learning ML, and he (being from a university known for its rigorous curriculum) asked me to do Linear Algebra, Multivariate Calculus and Statistics first. So, I am just thinking what would be better, to learn it the proper way and know all the proofs of the algorithm and so on, or to just apply stuff and build my own thing and learn the mathematics and stuff as I move along. Let me make it very clear that I'm not scared of the Mathematics in any way, in fact I love Mathematics! I am just concerned that I might slow me down.

Fantastic! I definitely have to learn and use Python more. At 55:40, shouldn't lines 2 and 3 have been changed to msft_df? Otherwise aren't your x and y still pointing to your appl_df data?

Derek can you make a new Series for computer science basics ? Algorithms and Data Structures Databases Networking Operating Systems Computer Architecture

I'll see what I can do. My how to program series is basically that, but I should make an algorithm series specific to Python along with other things you mentioned. Thank you for the request

Hey Derek, since youtube doesn't really appreciate your work with educational stuff why don't you try and add some gaming other than chess into your channel maybe it will help spreed your tutorials. I say this because I know your channel from way back and it's growing very slowly i thought this may help with the algorithm. It's a win win situation if it didn't work out here it will work out in twitch.
@derekbanas3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the help :) Yes I’m putting more content on Twitch now. I actually tried that once when I streamed Resident Evil VR and numerous other games. I loved doing it, but I lost thousands of subs so I quit. I’m just going to do all my crazy fun stuff on Twitch now and see what happens?

There is a form of the BASIC programming language, Q64 BASIC I think. Would you be willing to do a series on that? BASIC was a decent language, and there is still a large following. Thanx.
