I don’t think a lot of people realize it’s insensitive to ask when someone is going to have kids. A lot of women struggle with fertility or maybe they don’t want to start a family at all. Either way the decision is their own. Please think before asking!

I don't ask any couple about children until they bring it up since I have no idea what their situation is. Maybe the couple has fertility issues or maybe the couple doesn't want to have kids or maybe the couple had a miscarriage. Because I don't know it's safer not to ask.

Stella, as a essential worker ( paramedic ) out in this mess. My advice to you and others feeling anxious. STOP watching the news. That will help you so much. Don't dwell on things. Just go about your life as normal as you can. Wash your hands, wear masks and stay 6 feet apart. Tell those you love how you feel. It will all be alright eventually. Love your channels, Stella ! 💕

Life Fitness Thank you!!!! I change my shoes before I get in my car after work. Put my work shoes in a bag then spray with Lysol or use the wipes. I have vinyl Danskos so it makes them easier to clean. I keep them in the garage also.

I'm not against landlords but I'm also not letting them just raise their rent every year when there really is no real need for that. Please explain to me how a raise of first 500 and then 700 bucks is justifiable?

I am in the UK and we came back from holiday in New York a few weeks ago, just before lockdown. We saw the difference between the start and end of our week there and that was when it really hit us as to how serious it was. On the flight on the way back a man in the seat in front of us collapsed with breathing problems. I was so impressed with the flight attendants and how they handled the situation and I applaud you all, as I now realise how well trained they are and they really earn their money - stay safe!

Bad timing on the condo but smart to pull out, even if you had money saved to buy it outright, since real estate prices in cities could tank. I know your lease is up, but I wouldn't be surprised, if you were staying (I know you aren't), the building owner might be willing to drop the rent on your unit by a few thousand for the next few months. People are going to be leaving NYC in droves and already have. You are right, Stella, in sensing this is a very big thing and no one knows exactly what is going to happen. I read an interesting article that suggested just the experience many companies are now having with people having to work at home could create a corporate shift, where employers realize it isn't so important for many of their employees to work in large cities like New York anymore at traditional corporate headquarters. I knew this virus was going to be a serious problem since late January. I thought it was nuts that the market didn't drop about at least a month before it did. And I was beside myself that our insane clown president was giving happy talk about how it was under "very good control" and would just go away. I thought the government bailout package was going to cover airline employee's salaries for several months, until the crisis is resolved but I could be wrong. I'm sure you're more up on the details than that. During 9/11, which hit the airline industry hard, flight attendants got shafted and I read that their union was not going to let that happen with this crisis. I love your mother's house. Too bad you can't build a little house in her backyard and wait this out. At least you could get some fresh air. I'm retired, in an area with very low density of cases, and I'm glad I don't live in NYC anymore. It's kind of a nightmare. On the positive side, you and Bart are both young, most likely not in any high risk category even if you were to get the virus. Dr. Fauci says the simple antibody test is coming out in about a week, and who knows, you may have already had it, and were asymptomatic throughout.

@RaFari1119 Bee I've been interested in futurism, AI and the computer revolution since I read FUTURE SHOCK in 1971, so I found your reply really interesting. I listen to the interviews of AI experts by Sam Harris and in the last few years, Lex Fridman. I'm in my sixties and want to be alive for the singularity, when computers start programming other computers or building systems on their own. We're getting closer. Right now though, with the disruption caused by the pandemic, as far as the opposing camps being everything will be back to normal in a few months to a year, or nothing is going to be the same, I believe it's going to be much more the latter. This is going to change a lot of things. Although I have used MS Flight Simulator since the first versions, any fantasy I had of becoming a commercial airline pilot as a child was eliminated early on because I didn't meet the vision requirement in both eyes. What you said makes total sense, and you obviously know a lot more about the systems in airlines. In addition to cost cutting, eliminating FA positions to save money, for air safety alone airlines are bound to implement new sensor and camera devices to monitor and control the behavior of passengers, which is sometimes unpredictable and always potentially dangerous. I watched the Mayday air disaster episodes on KZbin, the most outrageous being where the Russian commercial pilot let his kid sit in the pilot's seat and he disengaged autopilot and crashed the plane killing everyone. I guess for a while anyway, they'll have a human or two aboard for medical purposes or as an air marshal. I followed AIDS pretty closely, and Ebola, MERS, and SARS, and on Dec. 31 when the world found out about the novel virus in Wuhan, I thought uh-oh. And for the US, could there be a worse time to have an insane clown as president?

I’m a flight attendant in Charlotte and we just bought a house in September. I also am off for the month of April just taking it easy and going over things for the future. I’m 4 1/2 years with the company so also worried about furloughs. With that being said I’m keeping my upbeat attitude and enjoying my time flying and laughing with my crews.

My husband is an essential worker and I had to shut my business . I can handle it being shut for a couple of months but not for a year and half . I'm pretty terrified right now. We did peak here in Washington. I dont want to be homeless but I want everyone to stay safe. A little happier today our cat returned home after 2 days. Also grateful we live on 2 acres of land. You are feeling normal emotions right now. Yes wear gloves but remove them when you leave a store then sanitize. Wear a mask in a crowded place

I think we are all feeling about the same. I am remaining hopeful, but anxious also. My advice is to turn off the news. I check local info and news online once a day, and that is it. Other than that I try to stay busy in any way I can. Cleaning daily, organizing, exercising, movie watching and meditation. Love your positive energy in these grey days. Stay safe and well!

I'm an Essential Worker, I work with the vulnerable population. I'm also disabled so being dependent on transit is scary for grocery/work. I love my job but it's still frightening. Of course, taking all the precautions and following protocols. You are doing your best, be great (like you always are). Though that rent increase is... wow. Here in Canada, in a big city, we have a Rent Increase Stop until this virus resolves/decrease. Though your apartment looks like has excellent lighting!

Stella, stay, stay, stay positive! However, with all that is going on, it is completely normal to feel down. We are doing jigsaws as well as they do keep us amused for periods of time. Try not to go out too often with Franny. We wouldn’t want you putting yourself at risk. As to what will happen in the future, who knows. Your determination and personality will see you through and whatever you choose to do will, I’m sure, be a success. Please keep producing vlogs even if you have very little new to tell us. I was struggling for the past 2 years finding a job and just when I found a good job I liked in Feb, corona struck and I was laid off this month. It’s been hard since I have been at home in isolation due being high risk due to my medical issues. I am away from my family and friends. I am away from the support of my day program and my synagogue and my clergy. They do contact us and try to keep our spirits up which I am thankful for. The online adult education classes on zoom with my clergy helps me keep my spirits up as well. I am hoping this will be over soon so I can see my family and friends.

I would recommend staying away from watching the news too much! I've also found that reading/watching/hearing news can make me feel super anxious. Watch things that make you happy/that you enjoy instead and try doing a fun workout on youtube! On an unrelated note, I love how articulate you are with your words and how clear you speak! Those are two qualities that I'm working on as I tend to mumble :)

Rents are so high everywhere because there are housing shortages everywhere and the prices are just out of the reach of anyone "normal". The landlords are just raising and raising and why? Just because they can. it's greed and I'm so tired of greed.

Well when you vote for more and more taxes, things go up. The more state and city programs cost money, so when it cost landlords it cost renters. Garbage workers get a raise, landfills get taxed your landlord passes on the the renters.

@@bnice2all They DO have rent controlled buildings in NYC...many of the older buildings are rent controlled. My one year lease was just up and I got only a $35.00 monthly increase. I live in a luxury, high rise on the Upper East Side with a doorman but the building was built in 1964. The building Stella lives in is practically brand new and commands the highest rents and are not rent controlled. You have to do your homework before moving into Manhattan.

Cruisince89 that sucks. I hope you can go after them for the arrears. In Ontario it’s ridiculously hard to evict non paying tenants because of our crappy laws. I would rather let my property sit empty than to rent it. That’s how bad it is. And now with covid it will take forever to get these deadbeats out.

Wishing you all good Stella. We here in London have so many struggles and it's solid to know our New York friends have the same challenges. Thankfully the Spring here is glorious - sun every day now and blue skies to inspire us and keep us grounded. We hear the birds chirping loudly. Every day, I practice meditations to remain positive and strong. Of course when this time passes, the first thing I want to do is jump on a plane and travel. Keep the faith Stella but just to get ahead of the situation start getting ready to apply to other airlines. If in fact you do get furloughed and the other airline waives your recall rights you can at least fly until you get recalled. When I got furloughed (same airline ;) many moons ago I flew corporate until I was recalled. As far as Non Rev'ing while being furloughed NOPE unless they make some changes after this crisis. Your landlord is unreasonable in raising your rent. Once you decide where you want to live, perhaps you can find a home to purchase and can build equity. If your busy lifestyle doesn’t lend itself to maintaining a home perhaps a condo would be a good choice. This is a tough time to think about moving. I wish you the best in your home search. Stella, I'm so happy to know you and Bart are fine and healthy!! I was listening to the news about NY and just got so worried about you, then saw you posted a new video and that filled my heart with joy! Here in Brazil things are under control, specially the state I live in has under 700 cases so far and only 2 in my neighborhood. We are staying safe but quarantine life gets old really fast and I just can't wait for it to be over. Need to get back to my normal life! God bless you very much, I'm praying for you'all.
