That's why I feed my corn snake live rats. I wasn't keen on the idea of having a bunch of frozen rats in my freezer and I doubt that my roommate at the time would have either. Now that I'm married, I'm quite positive that she would not want frozen rats in the freezer, she barely tolerates the snake as it is.

I can’t stop thinking that the girl who only wanted to buy a snake in an unmarked box didn’t have good intentions. Emily surely talked to them and explained that the stuff the girl was afraid of just don’t happen... so I don’t understand at all why they’d be so set on ONLY buying it like that. My guess would be that they either live in a bad neighborhood or never planned to take care of the snake in the first place. There’s no guarantee that the address they gave was their own address and honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if their main goal was to “surprise a friend” with a packed snake. Of course the friend wouldn’t open the package if they knew that there was a snake inside, especially if they’re afraid of snakes. This might not be the correct explanation but regardless of all of that, the request feels highly off. It’s good that you didn’t sell the snake imo

She could also have been living with somebody who would be scared of a snake showing up, like an older parent or roommate. Assuming she had good intentions, she may have wanted to get the box to the room it would be kept in with no fuss. But if that's the case, A) if not everyone in the household is super not OK with the pet, don't get it, and B) some better planning could get around that problem if she actually wanted a pet snake.

I love the text commentary you put in the background for the animals like they are trying to talk. I actually find that it helps make the videos really easy to watch. Don't get me wrong, Emily you are fantastic, but I notice a lot of other videos posted by other channels are harder to watch because it just feels like they are droning on and on. The text helps gives the animals personality to the viewers and that makes it easier to connect to them. A small but powerful editing addition.

Hazel I’m from NZ too! I live in Scotland now though. From what I’ve heard NZ and Ozzie don’t send them out, especially the really endangered and protected species like Tuatara. Emily, in terms of your allergies... there’s a thing called Imuno-therapy that increases your tolerance to allergies. You should look into it for your canine reaction. Also, love your videos y’all are awesome! Definitely coming to visit your building Edit: thanks for the heart!! ❤️

Travis Evans if it’s those allergy shots, I highly recommend that. The only sucky part is that they test you for EVERYTHING but you can choose what your gonna be injected with lol. For instance I get two shots on one arm and one on the other. It’s for dogs/cats/rodents

I work at a facility that make those drugs! I'm in the bee/wasp venom department. It's a very effective treatment option.

My SiL is allergic to cats but they had two and her allergy definitely lessened and she adapted pretty quickly. She always maintained an allergy to my huge floofball who had two distinct coats, one of which was very fine, very fluffy and downright impossible to manage. But it really does work, especially with sleeker cats (like black ones) or low-shed dogs.

Went through 4 years of shots to reduce the effects of my dust mite allergy only for both my doctor and me to then slowly realize that i‘m one of those 25% of people (percentages vary depending on the specific allergy AND this estimation was relayed to me by my doctor in a casual setting 5-6 years ago so don’t come for me if you think I’m spreading incorrect info 😅) who don’t see any significant improvement... That was fun.

We were having trouble getting them to eat, so we ended up giving them to a friend who had more experience with viper boas than us. They sadly never did eat or thrive, and ended up passing away eventually. It sucks, but we bought them as non-eating babies so it was a risk we were aware of.

i have asthma and eczma which contribute to my severe dog allergy. i got my dog when i was 4 she is a bad shedder but when you have the dog, some sneezing, itchiness and a tight throat are all tiny inconviniences compare to the dog itself! the allergy also decreses the longer you have the dog and taking allergy tabets and washing your hands after petting for long periods of time are also minor inconviniences! i also used to have 2 bunnies and have owned many guinea pigs and hamsters in the past while being allergic to them and the allergies didnt stop me. when the time is right for you guys i think you should get a dog! the key is just to make sure the house is clean so no shed hair builds up, groom the dog regularly and take allergy tablets! good luck x
