Don't be upset, Jessica ... "strange" isn't necessarily bad .... "strange" can be born one month late like I was!!!! My little 5'3" mom gave birth to THREE, count 'em three 9+ pound babies. I was exactly 9 lbs and that's because I was born a whole month late ... my mom said she was pregnant with me FOREVER. My 2 brothers were "regular" term and both over 9 lb .... just porkers in the womb. LOL. My only "baby eats" comment is ... vegan kids are fine. Kids do, of course, need some different nutrients and substances than adults, especially adults that tend to put on weight if they are not vigilant. I'd say, do some research into fats in childrens' diets. I know you two don't eat oils and fats that much, but it can be very important for development (especially brain development) and a soft, shiny coat (oh wait, that second part is for dogs - oops). Anyway, there were never two more loving and concerned parents-in-waiting, you guys will do fine. It's literally not rocket surgery --- babies are much more flexible and adaptable than people think. Just have fun.

Pet milk, karo syrup and distilled water was the common formula for babies the first year back in the 60’s! Sounds crazy but today my husband and I are in our 60’s and healthy and active! I’m not suggesting this, just reflecting on how things change. On another note, the way you guys walked through cancer is a positive testament to how you both will handle being a parent! I’m so happy for you guys😊

I can't believe people are asking about you not having your own house. That is the least of it after what you've been going through for the past couple of years. To have had Brian's loving parents as a refuge during your hard times is a blessing. I am so happy for you both. It sounds exactly like you have your ducks in a row. And if you know ducks, they actually don't always swim in a straight line - and that is totally how life is. It's never a straight line. I love that you love music, you want to travel and write cook books while your little one absorbs it all like a sponge. I've been following you since the beginning from Australia and I am always surprised by the judgement in many questions about your medical treatment, Jessica, the lack of understanding that big weight loss is always a rocky road (again NOT a straight line), and now about your housing situation. I am just so, so happy and relieved that you are well Jessica. You've kind of both been to hell and back, and I look at you now and feel massive relief that you've both emerged with so much wonderful ahead you both, plus one beautiful baby in the near future.

So glad you got to learn this stuff before having a child! I didn’t figure all this out until my kids had kids already. From what I see from plant based parents who have raised plant based children, they don’t feel like they’re missing out when they get older, they feel sorry for the other kids who’s parents don’t know any better. They appreciate being well loved and cared for.

Some people are very quick to put out a negative declaration or opinion about what they think about someone else's life. Those of us who watch your channel know that you are responsible, loving adults that will do the best for your sweet baby. Those that don't know you should be more gentle with their questions about your life. My married son moved back home with us when he wanted to get some more education. There are many advantages to multi-generational living and it used to be the norm. We share a house with our grown daughter and her partner and we love it. It depends on the situation, but it is not necessarily a bad thing, unless you are forced into it and folks are unhappy. We take care of each other and our dog and have more flexibility in scheduling things. They are not vegan, which is sometimes an issue in our shared kitchen, but the upside is that I do a lot of cooking, so they are eating my food by default at least half the time and they enjoy it and are healthier for it. Love seeing you both looking so happy.
