I actually appreciate what Kaleb said about goals. I’ve made the mistake of speaking publicly about goals a bit prematurely, and have regretted the questions I got when I didn’t have things figured out. Sometimes it is good to keep things a bit close to the vest and avoid unnecessary pressure or uncomfortable questions.

Thank you Kaleb and Jeanine for being vulnerable and sharing what you went through with church and speaking about it. I've gone through church hurt myself and know what it's like to have been part of a cult-like church. God has been healing my heart in this area thankfully through a restoration program I'm in.

I think people totally say marriage is hard to make single people feel better! Thank you for saying that Kaleb , a lot of times I feel like people pity me because I am single not married and it’s super silly because I’m actually really happy and thankful for my life. I just wish people would be more positive about marriage! I feel like when Christians talk about how hard marriage is, it makes single people not want to get married. And then they don’t commit to their girlfriend or bf or don’t even wanna date at all because they are worried marriage is going to be so hard. 😅

My husband and I have been married for over 18 years. Yes marriage can be hard at times, but it's also wonderful. I would never want to be single after being married. My husband is my best friend and we enjoy spending time together. Being single was a lot harder than being married,in my opinion. 😊
@dhall756087 ай бұрын
Marriage is hard, that doesn’t mean it’s not worth it. You’re taking two selfish, sinful people and merging them as one. Of course it’s hard. But nothing worth having comes easy. I’m in a storm with my husband now. It’s hard and I want nothing more than to come out of this the end that makes our marriage a testimony. That feeling of fighting for something you believe in, alongside God, that is truly a wonderful feeling.

When it comes to what ring I wanted, my fiancé simply asked “what would you not want.” That way he had the freedom to be thoughtful but also know that it wouldn’t be something I didn’t like. I absolutely love my ring even more knowing that he chose it 🥰

You guys are gonna be AMAZING parents!! It’s such a fun adventure. I have two boys and thought I would hate it but I LOVE it!! I’m praying for you guys that God gives you a baby in His timing! I think y’all are gonna do so great. We are constantly praying for God’s wisdom while parenting and intentionally raising our kids up to the love the Lord and that is our main goal. I know you guys won’t struggle with that at all since you are such a wonderful couple of God❤️❤️

Love this podcast! Thanks for not being afraid of talking about difficult topics! Regarding speaking in tongues I’d say discernment is needed! When you are filled with the Spirit you will be able to tell if the tongues are from the Lord or for show. I’ve experienced both.. one where someone was saying & singing & it was so obvious it was about him, others where someone was completely overcome with the Spirit & began to pray in tongues over me. Speaking in tongues is real & relevant & if you have the Holy Spirit you have access to all of these gifts because it’s not about you it’s about the Spirit of God. So anyone CAN speak in tongues if the Spirit chooses to use that specific gift in them ❤

I enjoy Kaleb's cautiousness with spiritual gifts and the role of pastors especially as the head of the household & as the protector. Women especially can be a lot more vulnerable because of wanting to believe the best & being more in tune with their feelings, more emotionally inclined.

I understand, I was going to a baptist church where there was zero teaching on gifts, but one morning, during my quite time the Holy Ghost fell on me, filled me up and I started to pray in tongues. I didn't even know that time it is biblical😂 but I studied more and I think the biggest confusion makes, that we should understand there are different "types" of tongues (for sign, angelic etc.), plus many charismatic churches misused the gifts. But we should not follow people, but the Bible! For me the most helpful was a short video here on YT from J*hn Bev*re - do not forbid speaking in tongues. He is husband of Lisa who was here last time❤ Blessings!

I feel what they mean is marriage has its up’s and down’s naturally of course. But marriage is a beautiful blessing which makes highs and lows a part of the beauty of marriage. Like rewriting our association that “marriage is so hard” and discouraging it. They are flipping that in a positive light. There can be beauty in the challenges and hardships. That’s how I take where they were trying to lead that statement! ❤

Okay, first of all I like the hubby on the podcast. Second I think guys can have a good pick of the engagment ring. Consider this the design you like verse your man choosing his design behind your ring. Depends on the guy as well. As a guy, I would personally like to help design the ring. I do think the lady’s opinion is a must for sure.

Sorry, Kaleb, that you saw some gifts misused in the church, but we should not follow any church or people, but the Bible, what it says about gifts! I was going to a baptist church where there was zero teaching on gifts, but one morning, during my quite time the Holy Ghost fell on me, filled me up and I started to pray in tongues. I didn't even know that time it is biblical😂 but I studied more and I think there is big confusion, bcs we should understand, that there are different "types" of tongues (for sign, angelic etc.), plus many charismatic churches misused the gifts. For me the most helpful was a short video here on YT from J*hn Bev*re - Do not forbid speaking in tongues. He is husband of Lisa who was here last time❤ Please, invite him to talk about the gifts😇 I'm so sad what satan did with gifts😢 We got them to serve people and the church with power of the HG. Many churches don't believe in gifts or in the baptism of the HG and they lack so much, the power, the fullness etc. Btw, the baptism of the HG has nothing to do with salvation. You got saved when you repented and recieved Christ into your life. Baptism of the HG actually empowers you to the service=to serve God in power and in the fullness of gifts. A helpful video here from D*rek Pr*nce - How the baptism in the Holy Spirit is administered. Or from R*bert M*rris - Holy spirit baptism and prayer language. Blessings!❤

Jeanine respectfully.. you are beautiful. not just for a guatemalan but for a human in general. If anything its a blessing to know your culture white americans have been robbed of their identity and traditions its sad. if they went to their roots they would realize they are rich in culture just like every other race
@dhall756087 ай бұрын
If marriage was easy, Satan wouldn’t meddle in it. Marriage is hard. You’re taking two selfish, sinful people and bringing them together as one in the flesh. However, just because it’s hard, doesn’t mean it’s not worth it. And I’m saying that as a married person whose marriage is on the rocks. I love my husband and I love being married. Through better or worse, I just can’t help how he feels at the moment.

I’m sorry - no disrespect at all but I find it comical to hear a 23 year old with no kids and currently in school say “marriage is easy” you have literally no concept to compare it to at your age. Give it time my man… marriage is work. It’s not hard per se, but it’s work. And can be easy work with the right person! But as life hits ya, it will be hard. And that’s okay!

I really appreciate Kaleb’s points about talking about the good things in marriage. I’ve been facing a lot of discouragement as I wait for a relationship or even think about having kids one day. I’m afraid I will have waited so patiently and then be let down but I don’t think it’s healthy to feed myself with that constantly. I agree with Jeanine too that we should manage our expectations and not put all our faith in them. But it is encouraging to me to see positive experiences. I’ve also been benefitting from seeing your relationship because I’ve been losing faith that good young Christian men still exist lol. The pickings have been slim in my circles so i have the tendency to lose all faith sometimes🥲😂
