My husband and I have been married for 8 yrs & we only dated for 6 mos because we both knew from the moment we first went on a date that we were meant for each other. We eloped, had a small little gathering with less than 50 people to make our marriage official and introduce our closest family members to each others families. It hasn’t been smooth but we’ve had the best ride together ❤

Congratulations! Your story is almost identical to mine. My husband and I only knew each other for 4 1/2 months before we eloped and then 11 months later we had a church wedding. We've been married for almost 18 years. 🙌🙏✝️🛐

You are such a cute couple 💕Those conversations are needed before marriage, it’s crucial to build deep emotional connection and trust before you get married. It’s ok to date and be engaged for way longer, it takes time to open up… Christian dating most often looks inauthentic and more like interviewing each other, rather than being vulnerable… Your consciousness, heart, soul and body should align… It takes time… or it won’t… don’t force it then…

This is so sad …you both felt misunderstood 😞 You have different attachment Styles, guys. She is fearful-avoidant (that’s why she denies it and bails) and he is anxious ( that’s why he felt anxious and is hurt easier)… Usually it’s the other way around… You are not crazy!!! Being mindful of your own and your partner‘s attachment style, learning about it and communicating, will make you more secure. Don’t live in denial, it builds up shame and guilt. The truth sets you free!!! Don’t feel guilty of not being secure, it’s not your fault!! It’s the result of life-Long traumas and different personality types.

I was in a relationship when my dad passed away (we ended up getting married) but it was extremely scary to think about continuing the relationship. The pain and grief you go through when a parent passes away is unimaginable and you truly turn into a new person. I would advise the young lady to be patient with her bf and try her best to take herself out of the center. Encourage her to listen to him when he is sad and provide any practical needs she can. What he is going through is horrific and her best bet is to just let him deal with his emotions, and not take anything personally.

I love how Kaleb validated where you were coming from when you had all your fears and talked about how much pressure there is in Christian dating culture. He's very emotionally mature and I thought that was so sweet like he really understands how you felt. So glad God brought yall together!

I’m really glad you brought this up: women will be all in and invested and wanting things to go as planned, BUT we will use the word “IF” (“If we get married maybe we can take a trip to Bora Bora and stay in the little cabins on the water”) because we don’t want you men to think we are pressuring you. Because it’s been ingrained in our brains that men have commitment issues or that we may scare you off, etc. Hope this helps a man out there NOT read into the word “IF.” She’s bringing up marriage and being future minded, keep it at that. 💗🙏

Thanks for both of your vulnerability- Kaleb, I appreciate your advice (applies in any relationship) that when you’re heightened/anxious, call a friend or family member ‘first’ and ask them to help you through what you’re feeling. Essentially waiting until your nervous system is regulated. Also, agree on patience. Also, love you two but, with the utmost respect you two do not have an ‘age gap’ -an age gap is over/beyond 8 to 10 years. Just so you know as an audience member, I see you two as same age range…it’s like 4 years. And Jeanine, preordered your book! I really like as a man, Kaleb does not shy away from telling the utmost truth about things that have occurred and that are now learning lessons in your relationship. And great advice during the Q&A.

Awesome video! I have a question, I've had anxiety about my relationship because we are from two different denominations, (adventist and non adventist) how do i then navigate this? That's the only thing that worries me about the failure of the relationship My boyfriend is adamant that it can work but I still have doubts. Is it something I should be worried about?

My ex husband threw me on the concrete & put me in a chokehold & more. I choose to not press charges & after we separated his mom signed their home over to him. I lost a husband & all my plans of the future with him & was traumatized for a long time afterwards & he got a house for free from his parents. It made me question how God truly repays us for what the devil did to do us wrong? And the reason i held onto hope for so long was because the first time he put hands on me it didnt hurt & he begged forgiveness & told me true Christians forgive easily. I was going to leave him at that time, but he begged me to forgive him. After that everytime i forgave him right away, it got worse.
