15:20 I was at the vet a few months back, while in the waiting room I met a couple who brought in their adult merle standard poodles, they said they adopted these 2 dogs and both were deaf and blind they had little pigment in the face eyes it was quite sad to see the dogs have such a low quality of life. Must have both been bred irresponsibly who knows the circumstances just reiterated what you’ve mentioned, thank you for educating us breeders.

1/2 Merle’s 1/2 will have brindle 1/2 blue 1/4 choc 1/8 lilac 1/8 fawn

I’m so grateful for the amount of invaluable information you share thank you so much. My question is, if your pregnant bitch gets fat during pregnancy will that inevitably cause fat puppies causing a delivery problem? Or do they take the nutrients they need and grow to the genetic size regardless if the mother is fat or normal weight. I know you section but have you noticed chubby babies when the bitch is carrying extra fat and leaner babies when mum is lean. Thank you 😊 you’re the best

Hi there i have a question i hope you can help with. We bought a dog as a family pet has hes grown older we had no intention to breed him but hes a stunning dog and had so much interest we decided to give it a go we are going through health checks etc before we even go ahead and try stud him. One of the test shows he is a carrier of DM so as soon as we saw that we decided against breeding him we dont really know much about DM but many of the people interested in mating with my boy have said aslong as both parents dont carry DM then its ok to breed its only if both parenta are carriers that you shouldnt breed.. Could you clear this up for me and and advice send my way id love and appreciate that thank you.

Double merle can only cause deafness and eye issues. I own a double merle dog who has certified eyes and ears so they can be normal too.

I enjoy your videos they are pretty informative... But extremely overwhelming.. I recently got my first AKC registered French bulldog (my first frenchie ever) and maybe one day would breed her but after watching your videos I don't think I will I don't understand all the different techniques and things you supposedly need to do to check for ovulation to artificial insemination etc 😳😳😳🤯🤯🤯.. I have a bitch that is Black with brindle points her mother is a blue brindle father is liver tan point grandparents both on father's side are lilac tri. I intend to mate her with a blue male. His parents are both blue and his grand mother is solid white while his grandfather is blue. What would the outcome of the litter likely be?

Also how does this work... I have her AKC registration papers to register her but also have pictures from the breeder of her pedigree which is overseas.. and if I'm not mistaken and reading it right she has several champion dogs in her bloodline how can I know this for sure and will that increase her value and her future puppies value? Thanks.. The breeder I bought her from is not from overseas but the pedigree that she acquired for the parent dogs is from overseas if that makes sense lol lol 😆😆🤦🤷

Hi James I would like to know what you from this dna info, the mother is; Ay/At, dd, Bb, no pied no brindle. The father is a blue Merle At/A, one copy of brindle, no pied. Is it a good idea to have the puppies tested.

No I don’t 😥 a shot of oxytocin maybe. But normally do that with in 24hrs of whelp . Tube and bottle feed with goats milk. Let them nurse too to try and stimulate milk let down
