I have been watching your Weight Loss videos for quite a while. I am amazed at your energy and dedication. How do you do it? Thank you so much, john

I think you are right. At 80 years old I have been a vegetarian for the last 35 years. Now plant based for the last three years. I am walking several miles a day and keeping up seven acres by myself and my wife and I just finished painting the outside of the house.

You guys are so awesome. All 3 of you work together so well, and I get great things from each episode. I don't think of myself as having a weight problem, but the food environment out there is so bad that I might just join UWL just for that sole reason (besides the fact that it would be a great way to say thank you for all these free WLW episodes you so lovingly provide.

It would be most helpful if you include a time stamp to the recipe

A friend of mine quit smoking by carrying a little tin of whole spices, star anise, cinnamon pieces, cloves, and he would put a bit in his mouth for the experience of sensation and flavor and he was able to quit. Also he saved the money he would have spent on cigarettes for a year then rewarded himself with a special gift. I think he also had a book or program called kicking it. Good luck!

I quit smoking after 16 years even though my husband wouldn't. Every time I had a craving I told myself in 15 minutes you won't want that cigarette...And it was true! It was very hard but it was necessary! I had just turned 30 and decided "high school is over, grow up".( Giving up the sugar was harder) My husband who continued to smoke has had three heart attacks and last summer went into cardiac arrest. After that he finally quit and went plant based! He had to learn the hard way.

So bummed I can’t go to Vegas. Do you think you will always hold it on that weekend? School starts here around that weekend every year so it’s too hard for me to leave.
@CHEFAJ7 жыл бұрын
Yes that is the only weekend all the doctors are available
@5xdisneyfans5657 жыл бұрын
Thank you for replying. I guess I will just have hear about from all the great people going. By the time I can go that weekend it won’t be happening anymore. Love these WLW. So informative and motivating.

Love your videos aj, but working full time I rarely have the time to watch a full hour. I know it takes up a lot of time editing videos, but now and again it would be great to be able to see some excerpts of the best bits x

Dr. Greger recommends salt water wash as the most effective, but you must rinse with water after.

Chef AJ if i wanted to ever talk to a doctor about plant based nutrition who would you recommend i get in touch with? I have been vegan for 2 1/2 years and everytime i go to my doctor lately she keeps wanting me to see a nutritionist regarding my diet and last i went to her about my hands being yellow she googled up a list of vegetables to stay away from and told me to go on a white based diet! Also accused me the last time of being affraid of food and asked if i would eat chicken or eggs! Which plant based doctor should i speak too regarding proper balanced nutrition that follows your style of living!? Thank you in advanced :)

Yes, something about the “Food Addiction Reversal Treatment” acronym... doesn’t smell right. 💨 😆
@CHEFAJ7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I know what you mean. I meant to say FOOD ADDICTION RECOVERY AND TREATMENT but still the same acronym

Hello Chef AJ, I know you don't eat nuts but I didn't know if you or someone you know or any of your followers may have an answer for me. I'm just starting Vegan. I made home made Cashew Nacho Cheese Sauce. Can you tell me how long it last in the refrigerator after making it please? I have googled and left messages and not finding an answer. It's made with raw soaked cashews, lemon juice, water and nutritional yeast. Everything else is just dried spices. Then cooked to warm and thicken.

I'm sorry I do not know. Perhaps you can ask the person who wrote the recipe.

How do you even get fat on avocado, tahini and flaxseeds?
@brioche81237 жыл бұрын
Yah Boy idk how many calories are in tahini. But things like avocado are pretty caloric, especially when you consider how much of it people are eating. So by itself no it’s not bad. But if you’re not paying attention to what you’re eating, foods like that can take you over your caloric limit fast. PS I love flaxseeds. They don’t make me fat. But for certain people it can trigger a binge. Are you new to UWL/this kind of veganism?
@yahgirl17267 жыл бұрын
For me I need to eat so much starch to feel satisfied that I end up eating too many calories, which can cause weight gain. Now I eat more beans and tofu which actually satiates me for longer without being a bottomless pit.
@brioche81237 жыл бұрын
Yah Boy the same thing happens to me if I eat starched like spaghetti and bagels. The less processed the starch, the better. I love beans and tofu too
@yahgirl17267 жыл бұрын
For my wife, tofu and tahini makes her feel more satiated so she eats less. She was a bottomless pit to potatoes so she gained weight eating them
@CHEFAJ7 жыл бұрын
According to the satiety Index developed by Dr. Holt fat actually has the weakest satiety. Perhaps she just wasn't eating enough.

My noodles never stick together. Try rinsing the pasta that might be the problem
@brioche81237 жыл бұрын
Peter Rabitt wow I didn’t know that. I always do that. Maybe that’s why mine never stick.
