Dr. Rabah, you’re an inspiration. It’s evident how passionate you are about medicine and OMFS. You’re also very discipline. May you share more about how you maintained your discipline as an adult (I know initially you mentioned that your parents were strict 😂)?
@Fifteenblades4 жыл бұрын
Thank you Donzell, I will add this my list of questions to address. I think many of us can relate to strict parents!

@@Fifteenblades As a psychotherapist, I find that a lot of clients who had parental support with productivity growing up have trouble maintaining it as adults without their parent’s assistance. You’ve been able to remain a self-motivated, disciplined, self-reliant surgical resident, which is no easy feat. Many people struggle with productivity and executive functioning, but you are proficient in it so tips from you would be very helpful!

Most people graduate college at 22/23/24, you’re definitely not “late” by any means. I would say start by shadowing doctors from differing specialties to see if you can see yourself doing that as your job. You can also check out nursing programs, PA schools, etc. From there, plan on taking all the prerequisites and some upper division sciences in a post bacc program. You just want to make sure that the path you set on is what you truly want!
