Hey Jen! I'm glad you are going to continue posting after baby boy is born. Like any other working mom (whether it's a stay-at-home-mom, a vlogging blogging mom or office work mom) it's all about balance. Just because we become mothers does not mean that we give up everything that we love, we just make things work. It's all about balance. P.S. I love the jelly cranberry too!

We do Mickey Minnie on the shelf and started last year when my son was 2. A small Mickey and Minnie are his lovies and come everywhere with us, so a second set with Christmas outfits are his "elves." He loves hunting them down and seeing their various antics. I can't wait to start this year!

Me too! Not necessarily just the holiday ones, I love all the party prep ones where she also shows snippets of the actual event. I quit following for a while because they have changed. I get it...I just miss it. I recently started following again hoping she'll go back to that.

We used Elf on the Shelf as kind of an "Advent Calendar" hide and seek tool. The Elf had a tiny treat, each day, such as would be in an Advent Calendar. My son loved it. I agree, I didn't use it as a disciplinary tool because I wanted him to try to behave all year. He wasn't always good but it was a goal.

Absolutely! A friend recently got a roll of printed Christmas toilet paper. It's hilarious that this elf will have a funny little written note about his beloved printed Christmas toilet paper. 😂 The kids will definitely have a giggle on that day.

Funny story about Elf on the shelf. When my son was 4 I️ asked him if he wanted to get Elf on the shelf and he looked at me and said “Hell No! That thing comes alive while you are sleeping” 😂 had no clue he even knew a cuss word much less how to use it properly in a sentence. I️ had to laugh about his answer though, it was hilarious!

I've been spoiled by my in-laws scratch made cranberry sauce but the canned ocean spray jellied cranberry sauce will always have my heart! I used to take the whole thing out and cut it in slices from ridges left by the can. Fancy! Haha

I purchased an Elf on the Shelf for my sons, about six months ago they were throwing the thing around the house and the dog was chewing on its foot. Yup, I have those type of kids.

We use Elf on the Shelf as a game also. Since my boys are older, the person who finds it gets a little prize. It’s just fun. The kids love it, and it makes every day of December fun. On Thanksgiving we always play Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade bingo (always on Pinterest) and they get little prizes that day also.

OMGoodness, sooo happy to know that someone else LOVES the canned jellied cranberry more than any other fancy cranberry recipes!!! We do eat the canned version a couple times a year, whenever I make a Thanksgiving-ISH type dinner. Not only is it delicious, as you know.... the lines on it from the can gives you perfect slicing guides!!! :)

I'm the same way. Don't get me wrong, homemade cranberry sauce can be delicious and it's pretty to look at, but there is something so comforting about those lines you see along the sides of that big cylinder shaped glob of cranberry sauce. So good!

We used to do elf on the shelf thing but with Robins. Here in the uk we have Robins in the garden all winter. So we used to say (when the children was young) that the Robins was listening and that they carry messages to Santa. It didn't use to modify their behaviour just added to their excitement. They used to love looking for the Robins. It's a my family tradition now. x

I made a homemade cranberry/orange compote once. My husband (who always eats everything I put in front of him without complaint) said "this was good but I really love the canned cranberry sauce". He gets his own can every year :D

Thanksgiving is not complete without Ocean Spray canned jellied cranberry sauce at my house. We just completed a 2 month kitchen remodel in white too. It seems to be the trend. Just hope it's not a trend that fades too quickly. But like you, it exceeded expectations. The mess exceeded expectations too :)

Excited to see your kitchen!! I just finished my kitchen this month. We tore it to the studs and really changed it up. I Went with white cabinets, grayish blue backsplash the a navy blue island. White marble/quartz counter top. Hope you love yours as much as I love mine!! Also, I make a cranberry /orange relish that is really quite good.....but my family wants the canned jellied thingy from Ocean Spray. Go figure....

We use our Elf on the Shelf to bring small gifts, like a gingerbread house, tickets to events we’re going to during December & on Christmas Eve he brings a Christmas book, pajamas and popcorn for the night.

I thought it was such a sweet moment when you were talking about your son, as a mother of two boys you are gonna love it, there’s nothing more sweet than a little boys love for his mama. My boys are so sweet and they love me so much and they constantly are hugging and kissing me and telling me how ,I have they love me and they are Gabriel who’s 7 and Quinn who is 5. I totally get crying over just talking about them, I still do that when I speak about my boys and I just love them so much it actually hurts, I get that expression now! Not that girls don’t love their mama’s but there’s something different about having boys, you’ll understand what I mean when you see your son for the first time! I wish you lots of happiness and joy and a healthy delivery and baby!❤️

I use Hello Fresh sometimes but I've also been using Chef'd. It isn't a weekly box, instead you chose which meals you would like to try, be it one or more. There are a lot of fancy chef recipes and of course they provide all the ingredients.

I incorporated the elf with my advent calendar! The elf has the treats everyday. I never used it as a disciplinarian tool. Next year I think she would be the perfect age to really look for the elf. Don't worry about balance after one child I found it to be easier to adjust.

I pulled out the elf last year to my almost two year old at the time just as an introduction this year I'm actually going to move it around different places for fun, but I don't thing it will be for "keeping an eye" on him type of thing. He really liked seeing it last year so this year should be fun to move him everyday!

We don't do the elf here, but we do advent calendars, different ones every year and my kids love seeing what's in it every day. We have the little people nativity that we bring out every year. We do a Christmas movie every night in December also, so that's fun. Having a boy will be different than a girl but it's gonna be so much fun.

Hey there! We use Elf on the Shelf! We don't use it for disciplinary reasons. There's an elf on the shelf short 30 minute movie that is THE cutest thing ever and it totally shows how the elf is used and came to be! Its so cute and we love watching it. I know it some point it comes on TV too, so maybe look for it on your DVR and record it. It has a sweet catchy song and our kids love looking for the elf and what mischief he gets into each day! We don't make it about being good, we just have fun with it :)

Princess Paige Jen used to be my favourite KZbinr when she glitter all the time... especially around the holidays!! I got lots of inspiration. Sadly due to the lack of footage, my favourite KZbinr who is already a mother of two and has a dog, regularly uploads!!!! She is the polar opposite of Jen... a minimalist... which is why I love watching her. looking forward to Jen's kitchen tour though.
