Tip: "If you start by understanding the principles, you will understand the formulas. If you understand the formulas, you will understand its applications. If you understand its applications, you can solve any problem."
@stevennelsonsegura55834 жыл бұрын
True. That's what our prof used to say to us and that s what saved me a lot of memory space during the boards. Understand why so that when you forget the formula, you can work your way to it.

Thank you slater young for the motivation I also failed the civil engineering board exam back in Nov 2022 and I was definitely devastated. After that I also locked myself and reviewed all the materials as best as I can. Now I passed the Board Exam I am now a Licensed Civil Engineer April 2023 passer.

"Mas maganda if the educational system is more tailored towards the real world" YESSSSSSS. Engineering student here and I'm already dreading all the formula that I need to memorize for the boards. :((
@gertj3634 жыл бұрын
Uhhh madali naman talaga in the real world. However, purpose lang naman na mas mahirap sa school/boards is to really train or prepare the students for anything that might come up, kahit ano mang difficulty iyon. Kung easy easy lang parati edi hilaw students. Mas mabuti nang mahirapan sa simula kaysa sa huli

@@gertj363 true!! Kung petiks lang hindi masasala yung mga students so paano na sa real world, nga nga na lang
@heartbreakerenchonggo62284 жыл бұрын
Haha, important is the theory kasi ang formulas sa real job na nating Engineers pwede muna tingnan sa notes. Understand the theory lang talaga
@gertj3634 жыл бұрын
@@Bu-22 i get your point but my comment was not solely about memorisation of formulas and excluding critical thinking. I commented it in the context of Slater’s comment na in the real world, you can have notes with you. And in my experience and I believe generally, ang pinakamahirap na exams ko ay pipigain talaga yung utak mo para mag-isip. Hindi memorisation. Kasi kung memorisation, that’s easy.
@joshuacruz63784 жыл бұрын
@@gertj363 the thing is di sa lahat ng tao madali mag memorize. May ibang tao na mas gusto mag analyze kesa mag memorize. Like for example may exam kayo alam mo sana yung problem pero di mo maalala yung formula then useless lang din. Eh sa real world pwede ka naman tumingin sa notes mo basta alam mo mag analyze.
