Hi, 1. How did you decide on periphery trees ( wind break trees) 2. were there just 2 varieties that you mentioned as periphery / windbreak or others too that you planted on periphery 3. what is the distance between two periphery trees? 4. what is the size of the pit that you dug for trees? 5. did you do some treatment like adding manure, keeping the pit open for 15 -20 days before planting ? 6. did you have different species in the direction of the wind. for eg . if the wind predominantly is from west, or north west , did you plant some type of trees on those direction as compared to other direction? 7. the choice of trees in the east / north east / south east? as they would cast shadow in the farm ?

@sachintomar3535 actually I just missed this comment from 3 years ago. Thanks for the sarcasm though!
@farmaanandaa2 ай бұрын
Sorry for missing your comment. The windbreak trees are tall with short branches. From all the options we had, we chose Casuarina and Silver Oak as they were fast growing. They are planted 6 feet apart. The put was 3 ft x 3 ft x 3 ft. Yes we added manure and bone meal when we got started. No we had no other species as windbreaks. Of course we have many other species inside of the windbreaks. You can learn more about trees and plantations by taking any of our courses on aanandaa.teachable.com.

Medam it is possible Bamboo tree as use same like a Wind Break tree.
@farmaanandaa Жыл бұрын
It is possible to use Bamboo as wind breaks, but remember bamboo needs a lot of water.So if you have a natural source of water on your boundary, or generally you live in a heavy rainfall area (where bamboo is a native plant) then you may use it as a wind break.
