I live in Australia, and I've never felt luckier to be where I'm from since covid has basically become nonexistent in my city recently...these videos are a good eye-opener for us in AUS/NZ and other people in asian countries who are resuming with their normal lives really. Stay strong and take care! Hoping for a speedy recovery!

It's exactly just like in France about friendships and seeing the true face of people in medschool. A lot of med students just don't care and keep partying. I even found out that a second year got covid but didn't get tested because she didn't want to isolate and kept coming to the library and working room in my building 😩 People are so selfish. Anyways I hope you'll be ok, I got my smell and taste back in 9 days so I hope you'll recover as fast 😊

yeah people have massively different opinions on covid... i guess it's just accepting that some friendships will end, and that's okay. thank you :)

I'm an engineering student but still get extremely struggled by the imposter syndrome. I even bursted into tears several times in my online classes when I didn't perform academically like I expected. And the guilty feelings I have when watching series, playing video games, etc is enormous. It's my finals week now, and for 2 days I watched your video multiple times to save me from depression. Your sharing is wonderfull, Soony. It's extremely great to know there is someone who feels like me and they openly discuss about it without hesitation. I want to send you a hug if you're not feeling great, as a gift to thank you for the huge peace/ease in my mind I received from watching your videos.

I'm not sure if my childhood played a part with developing impostor syndrome, but recently I found out that I often find myself perceiving achievement as a sort of obligation rather than a celebratory thing. Looking back, my parents did commend me for a job well done, especially when it was big. But, of course, asian parents being asian, the expectations just get higher and higher so it was a constant race to prove myself to others. So yeah, each achievement feels like a task crossed off the list instead of a milestone.

12:27 i can’t relate more in my lifeeeeeee Actually not only med school is toxic but youtube is toxic and some of my teachers are toxic literally ! They keep telling us that doing something other then studying is “non-productive” and same for youtube ! Literally most if not all of the youtubers show us the most productive days in their life i mean good for them but they sometimes make me feel bad about my self for not being as productive as they are or not studying as much as they do . Idk but the whole idea of productivity has been killing me lately and i dont know how to get over it .

I feel you re: COVID ruining friendships. I live with & take care of my grandma and obviously am super careful re: exposure because I'm not trying to kill her!! but so many of my friends (honestly med students are the worst tbh) really don't give a fuck and are out here traveling in a pandemic???!! and they want to meet up and hang out - hell no. I haven't interacted with anyone outside my immediate household in 10 months. so yea people are selfish and suck :/
