Dr Ally, why did Queen Zubaydah have to build the Ayn Zubatdah if the Zamzam well was always full of water? Isn't it true that the water Mecca needed from 801 CE came down the Ayn Zubaydah from Wadi Numan near Mt Arafat. If she had not built that qanat, Mecca would not have survived. Is that true or not?

It's not a mystery how the water is supplied. It comes from the red sea, and is filtered through de-salinization plants. This information comes from the Saudi government website.

If you look at past newspaper articles prior to 1930, the zamzam well was the water of death. Pilgrims came to mecca and died after drinking the zamzam water.

The weird thing is that the Zam Zam Well is very close to the Kaaba in Mecca. Supposedly, Hagar desperately sought water for her son Ismael and her prayers were answered when the well appeared. Since the well is such a short distance from Kaaba , why on Earth was she in such peril as Mecca would have had help right there. The well is 60 ft East of the Kaaba. Unless , none of this ever happened in Mecca?

The biggest man made water reservoirs is in Mecca is supplied with saltwater cleaned of the salts. If you had a spring of water from God you would not need those reservoirs. But it is big business for the Saudis

Zamzam water is holy and it is a miracle. The fact that millions of people drink and take with them to all parts of the world trillions of litres every year, for over a thousand years, from a place in the middle of a dried and dead desert land, is miraculous enough. 2ndly, the water wouldn't cure anything, but your intention and purity of your heart and the strength of your imaan, combined with the water, will cure, or help towards a cure (if Allah wills it).

Very interesting. Not an easy subject to talk about on technical aspects as desalinated water supply is used a lot in that country. How and why it is linked by pipes to the original zamzam well which was a deep aquifer is not clear. Chemical analysis of water is another sub-subject. Returning Muslim pilgrims can get them tested in London without much difficulty. Notwithstanding this theological aspects are clear enough. Cf Miraculous effect of fresh water from the spring at Our Lady of Lourdes in Pyrenees in France. In Lourdes there are segregated baths for total immersion in cold spring water for men and women volunteers helping. All miracles are medically scrutinised in Lourdes. A BBC programme on Mary in Christianity and Islam revealed that there was a lady Muslim volunteer was helping in those baths. The Christian lady asked which parish are you from? The other lady said I am a Muslim, not from any parish. Points to ponder. God/Allah works in different ways in different cultures .

Point to understand: Allah SWT may work in different ways but it is never contradictory. Different cultures are for humans. Allah SWT Mercy is Universal! Allah SWT's Mercy does not see who was born where or makes a distinction on what language someone speaks or color of skin, time period, etc. but who is God conscience and patient! For example, our immune system is a miracle for all humans regardless of faith or no faith. Earth atmosphere is "dome of miracles" showering it's protection on everything. It is Allah SWT who created a Muslim, a Christian, a Jew, an atheist, even a Satanist, etc., and to Him belongs everything - the Seen and the Unseen. Lastly, science is in need of Allah SWT. Allah SWT is not in need of science. He simply says, "Be" and "It is". He can make a man comfortable in core of the Sun! Abraham/Ibrahim AS, for example. Science can fail and can go against our logic because Allah SWT is not confined by our logic, chemistry, physics and math. Miracles can not be scrutinized scientifically or medically. Science is based in empirical and observable and predictable realm and Miracles have ability to upend our understanding of predictable and known behavior of things. How would anyone scientifically scrutinized, quantify, capture the feelings of "love" in mathematical model, for example? In this are signs for those who reflect. Kind regards

They see the Quran as divine and eternal, even though it was written in a language that didn't even have a complete alphabet at the time it was written. It is also so poorly written that it provides no context, certainly no substantial details about the supposed life of Muhammad. But the ultimate revelation of God is not a poorly written book, but a perfect man, Jesus. As the image of God, man is able to reveal the glory of God better than any book. Man can write books, as well as love sacrificially, and tell the truth even when it hurts. That God would limit himself as a man for our benefit makes him a greater God than Allah can ever be.

This includes judging mankind, John 5:22, raising the dead, John 5:26, and creating the world, John 1:3. The Father is the incomprehensible part of God that we can never see, but every time God shows himself in the physical universe it is through the Son, John 1:18. For Muslim and Christian, the ultimate revelation of God is the Word of God. Muslims believe this to be the Quran, but Christians have learned that this is in fact Jesus the Son of God, John 1:14.

The Prophet said that Zamzam water is a nourishing food and not just water. It is blessed by Allah (S.W.T) and is said to be a cure for all illnesses. It is also believed that if a person makes a wish after completely drinking Zamzam water, his wish will be fulfilled.

What a silly comment. Pipelines? It was started over 1500 years ago! There was no pipeline constructed by anyone that long in that time. Zamzam water is a miracle to me. I have experienced its barakah. I had admission tests. I failed to get admitted to two schools Chittagong Collegiate School Nasirabad Boys School when I gave admission test in these I was not successful. But When I drank Zamzam water and gave a test in Chittagong Govt. High School I succeed in that day I had drank Zamzam water. Every one was surprised indeed it was a blessing of Allah.

1. True, Christians must still repent from their sins because they grieve God. However, our forgiveness depends first and foremost on Jesus' sacrifice. If you reject his sacrifice then no amount of repentance will do you any good.
