Palestine has a right to exist free and to decide its own destiny.

What’s becoming so obvious to people now is that colonialism has never ended just rebranded with different terms. From Natives indigenous people being called “savages” in the old days to now being called “terrorist” by neocolonialists who are neoliberals, neoconservatives, and zionist. 1) Savages is now “terrorist” 2) Civilizing them is now “bringing them democracy” 3) Colonies is now “territories” We can all see Israel is a colonial project being supported by former and current colonials such as U.S, UK, and others who also control territories of indigenous natives in Caribbean Islands, Pacific Islands, Hawaii, and many more. The liberation of Palestine will definitely give RISE to many indigenous natives around the world to free themselves from western domination. This is the underlying ripple effect that the U.S government and its puppet allies don’t want to happen

Assalamualaikum. I myself is born and brought up in Muslim family and Muslim majority country! But still I am raised by the belief that Prophet SW said that when Qiuamat will be closer Muslims will suffer a lot among them Palestine will be the most crucial!! So sit down and suffer through. Now I was very passionate about Palestine from the first and when October 7th happened I was searching for something, anything to do act to raise my voice. Thank you dear brother Jalal...for this Thinking Muslim I am hopeful for our future. May Allah bless you with Jannatul Ferdaus. May Allah bless you with every success with Thinking Muslim podcast. May Allah bless everyone who are with this channel.

Breaks my heart that the humanitarian conflict in Sudan goes ignored by everyone. At least this channel has one video addressing the issue. More needs to be done just like the conflict in Palestine.
@HanaHana-ft9li3 ай бұрын
Just like how everyone ignored Somalia for forever. I think the reason is our conflict is eternal as opposed to an external entity occupying someone’s land. Israel vs palatine and now Lebanon bcos Israel is the aggressor and the western world are backing them. It’s not a civil war it’s a lot different. Sudan is winning against the stupid militant group inshallah they will keep winning until they stop the war.
@larabraver2 ай бұрын
Absolutely. It upsets me and makes me feel a bit of resentment towards those that have platforms including mosques. I imagine that Sudanese people feel truly hurt by this. I think it must be mainly because the Sudanese are black and mostly non-Arab. As I learn more, I know that the fact that Palestine is under apartheid, plus Al-Aqsa is located there are other important reasons.
@RedSoloCuppppp2 ай бұрын
@@larabraver I remember saying the same thing under a dawah video (not this channel) and getting completely slandered for it. Some Muslims just do not want to hear that the same anti-blackness that plagues other communities is right here too. It doesn't help that Arab Muslim nations like Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE are involved in the Sudan conflict and are being just as colonialist and racist as Western nations. It's all just very sad and depressing because how can we begin to help people if we can't even talk about the issue??
@larabraver2 ай бұрын
@@RedSoloCuppppp You’re right, many people have had “an experience “ in a masjid. Racism against black Muslims by non-black Muslims is a sad, shameful reality. Have they forgotten the Prophet’s last sermon??

Not to take anything away from Gaza, we have paid very little attention to the plight of the Rohingya and the Uyghurs. While I may not be your sister from Yemen, I definitely am hugely appreciative of brother Jalal. This was one of those rare moments where the person who's usually the host who mainly just asks questions is given an opportunity to speak, and then is in every way on the same level as his greatest guests. I don't want to overpraise brothers but this channel is constantly humbling, and it makes one feel how little they've done, and how they must do more.

It's been very illuminating to see different point of views with a good amount of critical thinking. My problem , sometimes, in the faith based podcast world there's not a lot of real depth and critical thinking. When you're in America you must interview brother Butch Ware, he is the embodiment of liberation theology at work in the Americas. And no, we have not forgotten Gaza 🔻🗝🍉

I always looked forward to each and every episode. Keep it up Br. Muhammad! On Muslim unity I completely agree with Br. Muhammad once again. Online though, unfortunately there’s a war between the usual suspects and some new ones. Brother Jalal, you have to, have to, have to write a book/article about your "ummatic thinking" methodology . It is so smart and so moving! I think it can inspire a lot of young scholars and rising stars in the next generation. Maybe edit your written pieces into a collection with an intro piece on ummatic thinking and voting(?). Honestly, just writing up what you said in this show is powerful. Even if you do it as a history of how gaza changed the media, that would be amazing. Iran's involvement in Syria has been a strategic move to support the Assad regime, which is seen as a key ally in the region. Syria's geographic location has made it a crucial transit point for Iranian-backed groups, including those involved in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Some argue that the fall of the Assad regime could jeopardize the interests of Palestinian resistance movements and potentially compromise the security of Palestinian holy sites.

Assalamualaikum A few thoughts that I wanted to share. Pre-9/11 I was a compulsive Radio 4 listener. I would wake up with the Today Programme and go to sleep after their 10pm news broadcast. During the War on Terror (War of Error) I found it increasingly difficult to listen to their prejudiced rubbish that was now pumping out anti-Muslim propaganda almost 24/7. I abandoned Radio 4 and most mainstream news outlets around 10 years ago and whilst I was relieved at the lack of poison, I missed their intellectual conversation. The Thinking Muslim as well as Blogging Theology has filled that void. So Jazakallah Khair for that. I also wanted to support the idea of both a youth version of Thinking Muslim (there is a huge need for this). A reliable history book written by a Muslim historian about the Ottoman Empire is also very necessary. Wassalam.

Dr Yakoob, please do write that book on Ottoman history. Anecdotally though I believe this issue may be systemic, I have found that most Muslims around the 25-35 mark have absolutely no realistic conceptual understanding of what an Islamic civilisation looks like. Either it is the overzealous approach where there are hand-amputation stations on every street corner or conversely they have given up on the idea due to pessimism. A work that informs the common reader of the methodologies and the approaches found within an Islamic civilisation like the Ottoman Caliphate would go a long way towards bringing the idea back into the minds of the common Muslims who have long ago accepted, internalised and dare not question the status-quo.
